This book was a mind fuck from moment one which is what I really liked about it. It mixes science fiction with philosophy. As the story goes on, a type of computer programming language pops up randomly which has something to do with what’s happening in the plot but it throws you off and in me, raised a lot of curiosity. So much that I asked my friend Gus who studies computer engineering what it all meant and when he explained it to me it all fit in perfectly and was actually eye opening. I found it actually amazing how the writer used that to maintain the science fiction vibe all throughout. The story is about a couple called Rachel and Eliza and one night in bed Rachel wakes up really scared and paranoid that an ant has gotten into her eye and is living inside the back of her eye ball and that she can feel it. I won’t go too much into detail but the ant for me was a voice of consciousness that brought lots of ideas to life and were then approached in a philosophical way.
