Top 5 favorite scents
Greek coffee. It's basically a variant of Turkish/Arabic coffee, but I think that the latter has a deeper scent. I don't even drink coffee, but I adore the smell of the traditional one we make here. Sometimes if someone offers to make coffee for me, I say yes purely for that smell :)
Fresh wall paint. I know that when you paint a room you should not sleep in it for a couple of days because the fumes from the paint can be toxic, but oh I love the smell. There have been times I've helped with painting a room just for the smell. (there's so much I'd do for good smells. Drink coffee I don't particularly enjoy, work... XD)
Melted dark chocolate. Whenever I melt chocolate in a double boiler I get twice the sensory pleasure, because melted chocolate looks amazing and smells amazing. That scene in Chocolat where Vienne is stirring the melted chocolate? Yeah I can smell that scene.
Cooked peppers. Add a few peppers in your stew or whatever and immediately the whole kitchen smells terrific.
There's a type of glue that smells perfect to me, not instant one, but like one that's strong and is used for bigger things than simple arts and crafts. I think wood glue? I haven't smelled it in some time but I remember my dad doing some work with it and I was just taking the lid off to smell it XD
