Ten Books that stayed with me

Rules: In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard - they don’t have to be “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you. Tag ten friends, including me.

1. The Wheel of Time, by Robert Jordan I have to list this first because the entire series is breathtaking, the elements in the story are all beautiful and they features some of the most intricate characters and relationships i have ever witnessed.  

2. Inkheart, by Cornelia Funke The series is beautiful and it covers so much of what a all minds struggle with, and has THE BEST and most interesting approach to 'the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence' I have ever read

3.Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling My Childhood, the series that has thought me most of the thinks i value in humanity and friendship. This series, like so many, really shaped me.

4.All John Green Books- Cause he is my favourite author and his characters feel like close ( if sometimes shitty) personal friends of mine. So many different aspects from his works appeal to me, because i will find myself being obsessed with one thought/idea, and see this issue explored in his words. It's always beautiful and their such a fun read. Also the post John Green Book Existential Crisis is always a fun Metamorphosis. 

5. Kafka on the Shore, by Haruki Murakami. I can't even explain this book. It touched something deeply inside me, it shook me down to my very core with it's profound truths and provocative questions. Also, Haruki Murakami is a true master of his craft.

6. The Hobbit, by J.R.R Tolkien I prefer this story over the LotR trilogy ( don't kill me), it's such a simple, meaningful piece. The story means a lot to me on a personal level.

7. The Night Circus, by Erin Morgenstern I could only possibly describe this book in one word: Beautiful. It's fucking superb

8. The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger The entire theme of the book felt very personal for me. like, 'hey, here is something that really scares and intimidates young minds, and everybody shrugs it off. Imma write a book about it.' I wanna personally hug Salinger for writing this book, to thank him for it. Also I feel like Holden is the most honestly human character i have ever read about. It was a real privilege, to read this book.

9.The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald I find this to be one of the most beautifully written books, I adore the way Fitzgerald expresses himself. I love the twist at the end. well it's not really a twist, more the revelation of it. It makes you question all the people you know and at the same time marvel at the storytelling.

10. Hush, Hush, By Becca Fitzpatrick This book is on this list cause it kinda lead me away from all the young teenage girl  paranormal-romance genre, because I used to love this book a lot, and now only smile fondly at the enthusiasm i held for it. A transition book, if you will.
