THE KING FAMILY
it’s hard to get around pine hill without running into at least one of them, or someone being affected by the daily drama they seem to create. inspired by the greek pantheon, the king family are ingrained into the local culture. lead by the family patriarch ZEUS and his wife HERA, his siblings POSEIDON, HADES, and HESTIA, and their collection of kids, there is certainly never a dull moment.
THE ZEUS [reserved for jamie, david harbour] some sort of local politician or lawyer, something that he has a known profile around town and part of the community. married to the HERA, though he has kids with more women than just her, on top of the ones they have fostered/adopted. always at odds with his brothers the POSEIDON and HADES, it’s not wonder the HESTIA is his favorite sibling.
THE HERA [available] married to the ZEUS and, to be honest, probably the one keeping everything running. knows of her husbands infidelity and has varying reactions to the kids that aren’t hers that they’ve raised. but she’ll be damned if she’s disrespected or run out of this house. she’s worked too hard to get to where she is. her kids are the ARES and the HEBE and she’d do anything to see them succeed.
THE POSEIDON [available] moody and temperamental, he left the family business (related to the ZEUS’ job potentially) once it became clear his brother was always going to come out on top. was often competitive with the ZEUS in their childhood and it’s a tension that has carried over into their adult life.
THE HADES [reserved] the youngest brother, the HADES doesn’t play the same game as the others. he made his own rules. potentially even left pine hill for a while to do his own thing, but now he’s back with his own level of success (and maybe a wife/girlfriend/fiance no one saw coming in the PERSEPHONE) and ready to dig up a hatchet that had previously been buried.
THE HESTIA [available] the only sister and the one that has often had to put up with her brothers antics. does her best to play the peacemaker between them and has likely kept some sort of relationship with each of them.
then we have the adult kids, between the ages of 18-30 (somewhat dependent on the age of the parents). some of them are super vague, some of them i’ve added ideas as far as personality or family plots, but in the end it’s all open for people to do what they want with!
THE ATHENA [available] oldest daughter of the ZEUS, she has her father’s mind for (business? politics? law? whatever the family business is) and incredibly capable and clever. known to be a mostly impartial and balanced part of the family, often asked to mitigate whatever fights or drama her siblings are bringing about.
THE ARES [available] oldest child of the ZEUS and the HERA. known to be competitive, quick tempered, and someone who seems to thrive in conflict. does that mean he often creates it? potentially. if there’s a fight happening in the family, he’s usually got some sort of stake in it.
THE APHRODITE [available] either biological daughter of the ZEUS or one of the kids that was adopted/fostered.
THE DIONYSUS [available] either the biological son of ZEUS or one of the kids that was adopted/fostered.
THE APOLLO [taken - wilder king, 23, charlie rowe] biological son of the ZEUS and one of a set of twins. along with the ARTEMIS, he was raised by his father’s family since he was a toddler following the death of their mother. up to that point, the ZEUS’ infidelity (this time) hadn’t been uncovered, so it absolutely caused tension. very close with his sister, the ARTEMIS. a musician and composer, he usually has some sort of infatuation every week that serves as a muse for whatever he’s working on.
THE ARTEMIS [available] biological daughter of the ZEUS and one of a set of twins. along with her brother THE APOLLO, she was raised by her father’s family after their mother died when she was a toddler, causing some tension and drama. very close with her brother, the APOLLO. athletic and independent, she’s made her own way in the world and doesn’t let anyone dictate how she lives her life. (sidenote im not saying diana silvers looks like charlie rowe for twinsies purposes but... i mean)
THE HERMES [available] either the biological son of the ZEUS or one of the kids that was adopted/fostered.
THE HEBE [available] the youngest kid and daughter of the ZEUS and the HEBE, biological sister of the ARES.
