Descendants Story Plots Up For Adoption: Adventures of the 3 (remaining) members of the Core 4!
Alright, so let's beat around the bush: All the Descendants movies ended up focusing on Mal and not the remaining Core 4. And don't get me wrong: I love the Sea 3, but they're story took a backseat. And don't get me started on the lack of storylines for the AKs (especially Ben and Audrey, who I love but went through shit as well)!
So focusing on Jay, Carlos, and Evie, I decided to make plots especially for them!
Oh, and these plots can be somewhat connected to each other, so they can be read any way!
A Core 4 Story: Jay in "Into The Seven Deserts"
The plot starts like this: Jay finds himself with the ability to grant wishes, which he initially finds awesome until he discovers he's turning into red and gold sand. The VKs go to Jordan (Genie's daughter) for help as she's part genie too.
Turns out, this has happened before. Somewhere outside of Agrabah and into the Seven Deserts, a lamp has "awakened" and is waiting for a genie to occupy it. Jay is meant to be enslaved in/to a lamp and he can only be free by his master/owner of the lamp (this is happening as a magical side effect of Genies and Humans having kids together). This happened years ago with Jordan, who luckily had Aziz find her lamp and free her, keeping her powers intact while not being bound to a lamp.
However, aside from keeping it out of the wrong person's hands, if Jay fails to get to and inside his lamp at a time, he'll lose his human side and become a spirit, instantaneously transported into his lamp and lost for good.
Now take into account "Jafar's Revenge", hence how the staff exists. When King Adam and Fairy Godmother were collecting the staff to put in the museum, Genie helped Aladdin and Jasmin create a decoy and tasked Magic Carpet (who's canon in the museum) to watch over it while the REAL staff was stashed in the actual Cave of Wonders.
The key to the cave, the golden Scarab Beetle, was divided in half. The first half is with Prince Aziz, who's the cave's de facto guardian.
Back when Jay's genie magic was coming in, his ruby earrings started glowing. After Jay mentions how his dad gave them to him, he and (Jordan, Carlos, Evie, or ALL THREE) make the connection to the rubies being the "eyes" to the staff. They sneak into the museum and the rubies start glowing and dimming repeatedly, which causes the Magic Carpet to act out by wrapping around them and protecting them from the blast made when the rubies recognize the decoy as a fake and blasts it to smithereens!
With that and then the nasty and Jay's fate as a Genie becoming more imperative than ever, Jay and Co., with the help of the Magic Carpet, fly to Agrabah for answers.
From there, Jay learns about how his father had initially gotten out and recreated his staff. So when he was defeated and killed, the staff remained. Which explains the reaction between the rubies and the decoy:
If magic has residue signatures, Genie and Jafar's magic is one of them. The rubies led them to the decoy because it was made from a genie's magic. But once it felt the different between Genie and Jafar's, and realized it was Genie's, it reacted badly and destroyed it. Now, the rubies would be more than attracted to the real staff!
Jay has an idea to reconnect the rubies to the staff to empower it and safe him from his fate as a Genie.
But back in the capital, the evidence of the shattered, decoy staff, a missing carpet and missing students haven't gone unnoticed. On Fairy Godmother's part, she knew there was a chance Jay would be a Genie, but it was wishful thinking he was just human. And Ben has his hands full at the possibility that the Sultan and Sultana lied to his family about handing over the staff while Mal is lowkey mad about being excluded from this apparently new adventure!
Once it became news in the Capital, it wasn't long until news reaches Agrabah. The royal couple weren't scared of the King Ben (or Adam), but they were worried. They called Aziz back to the Lone Keep for the moment, as Jay coming to Agrabah for the staff may be true. Genie was worried for Jordan. The djinn wasn't stupid. He precisely recalls the innate terror he felt when Jordan was bound to her lamp and, once again, he owes it to Aladdin and his family when Aziz tracked her lamp down and freed her!
The universe wasn't that kind. Jay must be coming into his Genie heritage and is likely going through what Jordan went through. But for a moment, he can't think of how Jay plans on getting to the staff. Aladdin purposely removed the rub...rubies....
Crap!
Aziz, in full-prince mode, strategically devises a plan where they lure Jay and the others to the city. But unfortunately: Jay's a skilled thief and Jordan knows the city like the back off her hand.
It backfires when Jay gets caught, the rubbies destroy the newer decoy and the group urgently makes a clean escape.
After that, imagine Aziz chasing after them and realizing Jay's dilemma. Aziz has one key to the Cave of Wonders, but the location of the other is unknown to him.
((The scarab being with Cassim, Aladdin's father. ))
[I'll admit that I might as well have given you the whole book. But I decided to stop there. From here, anyone who adopts this story can finish it off, whether it's an unexpected twisted or an ended you already saw coming. This story holds components of "Aladdin", "The Return of Jafar", "Disney's Aladdin in Nasira's Revenge" and "Aladdin and the King of Thieves".]
A Core 4 Story: Carlos in "The Dearly Farm Rescue"
Plot: After getting over his fear of dogs and watching his friends come to terms with everything that came with the choices their parents' made in the past, Carlos feels a sense of obligation to meet those his mother, Cruella de Vil, had wronged, starting by deciding to spend the summer volunteering at the Dearly Farm.
Initially, and not unwarrantedly, Roger and Anita Radcliffe were skeptic about their temporary helper working around the farm. But with a practically glowing review from King Ben himself that Carlos is NOT like his mother, and time spent with the boy (Carlos partnering with Roger to help make video games/Anita being surprised at Carlos's knowledge of fashion/Surprising both of them with his kindly treatment towards animals, especially the dalmatians) their fears were proven wrong. They even trust him enough to tell him about their future plans for Dearly: The Radcliffs intend to convert the farm into an animal sanctuary.
But things have not been going so well, so they are lacking the funds to do so. They're losing money and could lose the farm!
Soon after, Carlos meets Ivanna "Ivy" de Vil, his older cousin who sees him as a threat to her inheritance as it was drafted when she was a girl and signed by Cruella herself. Carlos, being from the Isle, sees through her innocent act for the rotten person she really is.
When a lawyer comes and talks with them, he discusses the matter of Cruella's fortune. Before, Cruella had drafted a contract making Ivy her heir, as she had no kids and would only get her money when she died. But, when she ultimately DID have a child of her own (Carlos), under a secret yet sanctioned meeting authorized by King Adam, Cruella went and changed her Will and Testament, making Carlos one of her heirs as well!
Ivy is outraged her aunt went back on her word and Carlos wants nothing of the money until he sees how it can help Dearly Farm.
The lawyer discusses what ended up happening and told them of a scavenger hunt Cruella made should this day come: Find the property deed to the Dearly Farm and its acres. It must be the true deed (no forgery). The two have until the end of the summer. Whoever finds it is her sole heir and therefore gets acess to her fortune.
Outraged at the deception, Ivy is prepared to use every rule in the book to get her hands on her aunt's money, even harming Dearly Farm to do it. Can Carlos find the deed and save the Dearly Farm in time?
[For those who are unaware, Ivy is Cruella's evil niece from the "101 Dalmatians" series that aired from 1997-1998. So I advise you mention members of the De Vil Family, including Diego de Vil (Carlos's cousin) for kicks!]
And last but not least...
A Core 4 Story: Evie in "Into The Mirror Realm"
(An Evie and the Seven Dwarves Cousins story)
Everyone is Auradon knows the story of Snow White and the Evil Queen. Princess Snow White, who escaped death by the Huntsman and went to live with the 7 dwarves, and the "Evil" Queen Grimhilde, who discovered the Huntsman's deception and turned herself into a hag to poison the princess and ultimately met her end falling and being crushed by a boulder. And after that, the rest is ancient history.
Or it would be if Evie wasn't the Daughter of the Evil Queen to begin with.
The Hunters' Day Holiday Weekend was coming up in Auradon, to initially celebrate remember the Huntsman who spared Snow White's life and helped her escape into the woods, but after that, was never to be seen again. But that was the (mostly) honest cover story for the holiday. For Evie, it was also the anniversary of her mother's first death. It's hard to describe having a holiday weekend dedicated to a parent's death, especially if that parent is a villain. Even if she went against her mother's wishes to be evil, she still loved her!
But the holiday is the least of Evie's problems. Lately, her magic hand mirror has been off the fritz! It's been vibrating, moving and spinning on its own, glowing brightly on several occasions, and "glitching" whenever Evie asks it questions only to end up with cryptic messages.
Noticing how despondent Evie is about the holiday, Doug invites her to stay with his family at the Dwarves Cottage for the weekend, hoping his chaotic family will lift her spirits. The night before Hunters' Day, Evie and Doug were heading to the cottage, when Evie's mirror glows brightly and a holographic images of a spinning compass and a painfully familiar red box appears. The two follow it as it leads them to Snow White's castle, her birthplace and former home to the Evil Queen. Sneaking in, the two find the secret laboratory belonging to Evie's mother and, from there, locates the Heart Box and opens it, revealing various shards of mirror shards that magically flies out and leads them to hidden chamber, where all the pieces (including Evie's hand mirror) form one solid Magic Mirror. Evie's curiosity gets the best of her, but before Doug can pull her away, a hand appears out of the mirror and pulls her in!
From there, Evie's chased out and about in Obscurudon, the mirror counterpart of Auradon. Obscurudon is nothing like Evie knows. A dark dimension of her home where the villains won, they took over where the heroes once lived, and made the land theirs for the taking. Finding herself lost with three weeks (3 days in Auradon's realm) to escape or else, Evie needs to find a way out of the mirror world and her best bet relies on a raven, a confidant version of Doug & and his 6 cousins, and a mysterious man claiming to be the real Huntsman who saved Snow White's life!
But that's not all she has to do: Evie's compelled to help her mirror counterparts of her friends find their happy endings, including: The princess-turned-Knight!Audrey on a quest to kill a Beast, Thief!Ben who cursed to into a Beast whenever he acts selfish, a Servant!Chad who is unaware he's a prince (with Jane Tremaine unaware of her Fairy roots), and locating the missing heroes/parents in a world without the Isle's existence with the help of the mirror versions of the Core 4...who aren't even friends!
Can Evie fix the realm within 3 weeks (days) or will she be stuck there forever?
[This story holds components of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" and "Fairest of All: A Tale of the Wicked Queen".
I just want give a thanks to @nocturna-iv and @descendantofthesparrow for letting me use the concept of Knight!Audrey & @askauradonprep and @disneyfan50 for helping me finish the parts for "Into the Mirror Realm" and "Into The Seven Deserts" when I got stuck. And with I must say, if you want to adopt these stories, please contact me here via PM on tumblr (@deafchild2000) or at Fanfiction.net (DeafAngel2000) because each story as ideas I happily want to share and give for the adopters to use in the works! I'd write these, but I don't have the time and energy!]
