🌐 for our muses to be stranded in a parallel universe together
@sorcererslead The ground in the upside down starts to shake, like there's a massive shockwave vibrating through it. A cold wind is chasing behind them as they run towards the gate...were they going to make it to the other side? It almost felt impossible. The potent mass of exotic matter had gone off behind them, the explosion starting to take everything with it, like nothing of what they'd grown familiar with in the Upside Down for years had ever existed at all. And...they were next. Him, and Will were running at the back of everyone else, watching as their friends made it through, and at that moment, Dustin knew. He knew him and Will might not make it back home with the rest.
That cold, forsaken breeze that was wiping away everything in the Upside Down was finally catching up to them, with a kind of chill that seeps down into your bones and then---
The explosion is launching them forward. For a moment, Dustin's eyes remain closed, brows furrowed together tight, before blue eyes slowly begin to open. Is he dead...? Did they...make it back home...?
He finally starts to take a look around, sight blurry at first before he starts to observe his surroundings. But, nothing that he sees looks familiar. It's not the Upside Down that they're in anymore...but, it's definitely not Hawkins either.
He's standing right outside what looks to be an old, medieval town, and looking down, he realizes his clothes have changed. He's dressed....pretty much like his DND bard, lute hanging from his back. What in the world-- was he...dead...? Because he's fairly certain that for him? Oh. This is definitely what heaven would look like.
Taking a look off to one side however, he realizes that wherever he in fact is....he wasn't here alone, no. There's an unconscious Will laying on the ground close by. "Holy shit....Will...!!" And he's rushing over to his friend. "Y' okay, man?"
