At their master’s response , Amser sighed inwardly , out of respect , and turned their gaze to the floor . Of course , the Ancient One was correct , obviously some rules were better left untouched . But that did not mean they were not made without thought of breaking them . And many invite disobedience . For instance the few times the stone had managed to sneak out to talk to one or two students , though their master always managed to find out .
“ Well , there is your case , of course . But my own existence , as well as my siblings’ , bends if not breaks the rules of reality . I would argue your magicks do as well , except for how you explained it as redefining or bending the laid down laws of the universe . ”
A small uncertain smile crosses their face , and they shift their attention to look the Ancient One in the eye , a suggestion of mischief clear .
“ Though , many rules are created either in response to what they now forbid , or with the thought of them being broken in the future . ”

Peter nods, flashing her a confident smirk before his helmet dematerializes. He’s worreid about her, maybe a part of him always is. The Guardians were criminals, but on Knowhere they would be dealing with the lowest of the low, and anybody could be there. Whoever had an offer for them, Peter knew they couldn’t be trusted.
“See? I’m telling you, we need to get some kind of hotline for people who wanna hire us. Tired of dealing with this shady meetings shit,” Peter says, laughing to himself.
Partly to assure her, but far more for his own sake, Peter lets his hand trail over Gamora’s. It’s difficult to determine precisely where their unspoken thing begins and where it ends, but he hopes she won’t mind at least a little bit of holding hands.
