Someone: "TRANSMEN" get So Much representation!
The "representation" they think counts:
Minor (in the sense of insignificant) character in the cast from a media that nobody remembers or barely knows of
A drawing on instagram of a person with mastectomy scars (referred to with she/her or they/them by the author)
Nonbinary character who, despite using they/them, gets designated into the Woman box and has their ships with women called yuri/lesbian/homo/etc.
Male character that often gets emasculated to show how unmanly and actually a woman he is (beware, you can't actually headcanon him as transmasc though!)
4chan caricatures of trans men getting popular as reaction images on Twitter and elsewhere
Someone with a large audience supporting women dressing masculine with #girlboss and she/her throughout the post
That isn't to say that a small portion of these are bad on their own (Get more nonbinary rep now!), but it's clear as day to me that there are people who just don't think that trans men are men and who think any non-transfem representation only serves transmascs, when the reality for trans representation overall is pretty much dim.
