Compact size easy to use in most spaces about 68" long very versatile and you can use the full seat cushions for seating as there are no arms.

This medium-sized Soriana sofa, part of the vintage collection, beautifully represents the timeless design language of Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Cassina. Originally created in 1969 and manufactured in the 1970s, this sofa has retained its allure, captivating enthusiasts of Italian modernism and avant-garde aesthetics.

Our skilled Italian upholsterer has taken great care in restoring this sofa to its former glory. A pair of vintage authentic Soriana Lounge Chairs designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Cassina, 1970s. These lounge chairs are vintage and authentic from the period, they are upholstered with a forest green leather, subtle and smooth. Both chairs bear manufacture tag at the bottom. These soriana chairs feature original back feet and front castors, chrome structure. A light patina throughout with some leather marking which are absolutely normal due to the slight waxy finish of this leather which is very smooth and soft. Great overall conditions.  Available to be seen at our loft gallery by appointment only.

MATERIAL: Dark Green Leather

CONDITION: Excellent conditions consistent with age and use. slight patina throughout.

Authentic Tobia Scarpa Soriana Sofa in the largest version, designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Cassina in 1969 and manufactured in the 1970s.  This Soriana sofa comes with new upholstery in a 100% Italian cotton velvet in a burnt orange color and reinforced padding.  Original labels at the bottom. Metal clamps very good conditions with patina showing consistent with age. The Soriana collection was designed by Tobia Scarpa in 1969 and it is a winner of Compasso D'oro famous design award (1969); production is 1970s. The Soriana is an iconic Italian Design Piece, great example of Italian Modernism; The idea of designer Tobia Scarpa was to express beauty and comfort by using a whole bundle of fabric or leather hold by steel clamps. It is a collector item and part of the history of Italian Design.
