Here’s my answer to the Anon Ask above. Anon, why I think that Sam was referring to Mackenzie when he said “Sad to leave NYC. It has kept a piece of my heart.x.” is because Mackenzie was in NYC at the same exact time as Sam, and she stayed behind after he left. They were already dating for months by then, so it stands to reason that they spent time together while both in NYC and he was sad to leave her. 

You can see from the screencaps of Mackenzie’s IG, that she was in NYC and posted a pic on Sept. 21, 2016. Sam posted a pic on the same date, and said that the next day he would be doing a Barbour promo event with fans. Then on Sept. 24, 2016, Sam Tweets that he is “Sad to leave NYC. It has kept a piece of my heart.x.” And look who stayed behind in NYC--Mackenzie. You can see she posted a pic from Central Park on Oct. 4, 2016.

 Sooooo, I highly doubt, Sam left his heart in NYC at the Barbour offices. You can think that if you want...but the rest of us realize he more than likely was referring to his girlfriend, Mackenzie. It’s actually very sweet and super romantic that he Tweeted that. I’m happy for him. Hope you can be too.
