Meet Sorrowort ! A very special creature with a lot of meaning to me!
“When a creature dies, their heart always remains. Sorroworts seek these hearts in order to feed off of all the Sorrow the creature experienced during their lifetime, the more leaves they grow, the more hardships the dead creature must’ve endured while alive.”
Inspired by the Baby’s Tears plant Soleirolia soleirolii, as well as the song “Painting with Life” by Fanfarlo, where the lyrics include “Some day, little weeds will shoot out right through my heart.”
