You should do a werewolf!harry type thing. You’re writing is so spectacular I’d love to see your take on it! I know you’re putting out a lot of writing right now, so obviously you don’t have to at all, just thought I’d put the idea out there !!
thanks so much! I truthfully have no desire to write a supernatural au though...I think I’m just too much of a realist to write something like that (even though teen wolf used to be one of my favorite shows ever)
hi! just found out your fics and damn your write is so good 🥺 i know that you already did one inspired in falling by harry, but can you do one where he and y/n were dating a long time ago, and had the literal perfect relationship, but they split bcs had different ideas for their future together, but harry keep writing songs about her, and by the time of Fine Line they came across together again, and the love they feel is just too strong and they can’t deny it any longer? tnx anyway 💕
So sorry I’m just responding to this! I know you asked for this awhile ago. I’m not writing famous!harry blurbs. I’m sticking to au’s for reasons. But thank you for the support!

PHILOSOPHICAL QUESTIONS; accepting.
I think — he does, but also I think that Rick really NEEDS to believe this and so he holds on to it. From the very beginning Rick was the king of second (sometimes more) chances: with Otis, Hershel, SHANE especially, Axel & Oscar…that’s just leading up to the prison, that doesn’t even scratch the surface of The Governor or Negan. He wants to see the best of people, genuinely tries to give them an opportunity to change their behavior and try and be a good person. He doesn’t want to kill outright, he’s a man of moral code and uplift. That’s why Rick Grimes began with “We Don’t Kill The Living” - only later on did “That was before the living tried to kill us” come into focus and that was when he had no other option, he had no second chance to give because it was a one lives one dies situation and he has a family to protect.
GONNA PUT A READ MORE HERE, BECAUSE I DON’T WANT TO CLOG THE DASH.
A few examples: “That is my wife. That is my son. That is my child. If you’re gonna be with us, you gotta follow my lead, you gotta trust me. It’s time for you to come back. [Rick hands Shane his gun]” — this one right here is where I want to start. He KNOWS that Shane is after his family, he KNOWS he’s unhinged and dangerous, but he still chooses to look at those two dead officers on the ground and remember who his brother was before all of this. He chose to give Shane a chance to regain control of himself and come back, to be his brother again like they used to be. He very much wanted Shane to come back and he gave him every chance until he was given no other chance in that field.
“We’ve all done the worst kinds of things just to stay alive. But we can still come back. We’re not too far gone. We get to come back.I know we all can change.” —- in hindsight, I don’t think Rick ever expected The Gov to actually change, but he understood the limits they’d all had to push themselves to in order to get to where they were. He understood the terrible things that were necessary to survive as long as they had, the things that would have been unthinkable before it was gritty survival. The Gov was also a father. He was a husband, a man working an ordinary job that found himself in a seat of heightened power. Again, I don’t think Rick expected any change from him, nor did he truly believe they could peacefully coincide without fear of retaliation from either party, but he TRIED to give him that chance. A second time, rejected.
He didn’t have to give Axel and Oscar the chance to contribute, but he did. He didn’t have to forgive Otis, but Otis did the noble thing to make it right, and he saw that. He didn’t have to give ANYONE, including Negan, other chance. He didn’t have to give any of the second chances that he did; but no matter how much this man goes through, no matter how many hard calls he had to make, how many holes he had to dig, he still tried to see that. He still tried to see the good in people and give them an opportunity to be better. It was up to them whether they took that chance or not, and if not…they did what they had to do.
Carl plays a large factor in this, in Rick staying grounded in his humanity. Even when he himself in unhinged, it’s usually Carl that pulls him back down. Initially Carl talking about the deer was a huge eye opener for him and Lori both, a reminder that there’s still good in the world and his son could still see it too. When Carl suggested he take a break, he did. He gathered himself again. When Carl started to get colder, he sat down and talked to him like a human being and not just a child. He and Lori both wanted Carl to hold onto what’s good and what’s right, to keep his humanity and I think that GREATLY influences Rick’s ability to hold onto his own, even when it’s near impossible.
I could go on about this for hours, but in short..I think he wants it to be true. He needs to believe that it can be and that this wasn’t all just for nothing. He tries, and that’s all he can do.
“It’s kind of weird, isn’t it? How... everyone just keeps coming back to here,” she murmured, mostly a thought spoken out loud than anything factual or concrete, a mere musing, if you will. Zoe blinked a couple of times, looking up from the coffee she had seemingly been staring into, her eyes wandering to settle on Margot’s. “I mean, it’s nice. I know Adrian loves having you back in town, Ophelia too, and myself of course. How’ve you been? I’m glad I ran into you today— I haven’t talked to you in forever...”
Idk if this sounds weird or not haha. But like I just like. Really like you? Like I've pretty much only ever been attracted to guys but like. I kinda have a big crush on you? You're so lovely.
whaaat omg. that’s incredibly kind of you to say 💞
