Laying down for just a bit. She had not had dreams in a few days. A good thing... But it is so close now. Squishing the blood pack in her hands as she laid back on her bed. Letters from Harkness, well atleast she could get letters out to him. She had not a clue on what to tell Maria. Faces disappear time and time again... And Sara did the same thing, now Butch is with her. Surely he is not the biggest fan of staying here. She used to be the same way. Did not want to be confined here, but this is where her family is.
People that brought her up from a young age.
Family...
Brother sister dynamic...
Feeling her cheeks heat up as she became frustrated. Who is she supposed to listen to? She hasn't even tried to keep in contact with some people that she did consider family... She lost the family she was related to before she even had the chance to know them. Brought up by... By a dynamic, well even dynamics, pretty much. All it was. Her parents aren't her biological parents... They are just people who took her in.
At the end is everyone just people?
What was her squad to her then?
Those people were close to her at times. People she got along with. Grunting as she brought her arm up above her head, putting the blood pack near the head board. How much did she eat today? Felt sick to her stomach either way, everyone else would be getting up soon enough... Might as well sleep.
~^~
Not even gone from the tents yet. Sara was just fixing the last of her armor. Had to get everything she wanted to take with her on her person. Had to know what she was doing for this, might be a light girl... But she knew what she was doing.
Looking over her gun once again. Turning back to look out the door of the tent, Ava's tent... The one she had visited so many times. A warm smile passing over her lips, just nice times... Times that they could spend all together now.
Throwing her rifle on her back. Smile still fully on her lips. Things are going to get better, because everything does. No more of this, didn't have to go through it.
Yes, you do.
Looking toward her other squad mates, there were the dirty looks she was expecting. She herself did not have to run to course today, sick. The girl half wanted to taunt them. Say things like this is all hell but it will get better for her. Something stopped her.
A hand on her shoulder pad...
Looking to see the slightly tanned skin... Ava. The woman held her normal emotionless face in front of others, right now... Just a simple glint in the bright blue eyes made Sara want to smile, long brown hair tied up in a messy bun... Simple things that Sara loves. The hand moving from her shoulder to sit on the small of her back. Something that she had never done in front of others. Ava... We are going then. Really going...
A simple flash of teeth from herself, fangs and all... Not afraid to show those around the commanding officer.
"Let's head out... Yes?"
Ava asking a simple question. Looking at the five around her, a squad she had trained... A squad that she knows. People she trust her life with. Blue eyes meeting the woman with the graying locks beside her, the hand she had resting on the thinner frame of the other... Drumming her fingers on the small of her back, wanting to watch her jump... No the vampire bit her bottom lip, stopping herself from giggling or moving. Looked upset... Good, getting emotions in check on the last day here? To bad you won't need them Miss May.
Sara looked at the other, then nodded with her head to the others. They all giving her a dirty look, them heading off... Sara and Ava alone in the tent for just a few more seconds. "M'excited."
"Of course you are Miss May. Never took much to excite you." A soft smile on the light features of Commander Thompson.
Move...
Stay here...
Can't do anything...
Go...
GO FUCKING NOW YOU SHIT!
Nothing she can do... Nothing... Her fault. My fault...
Sara smiled as she felt a light nip at her neck, then a hand going up to behind her head. Playing with the tied up hair, causing a giggle out of the Vampire. "I-I need t-ta go catch u-" Getting cut off by the other's lips smashing into her's. Caught off guard. Frowning as she brought herself back from the other, trying to keep calms breaths. "N-None of that yet. Don't want ta get stuck here because of my health. Ca-Catching me off guard is a no... Y-Ya know this." Bringing herself back up to the other, noses touching... Ever so lightly, causing a shiver down her spine.
Then feeling a hand on her chin, grabbing it forcefully taking her mouth down. A kiss against her cheek.
"Go meet up with the others."
Stay with her...
You are going to get her killed...
STAY.
Screaming...
Crying...
Tears and shouts...
Sara nodding lightly as she bent up slowly letting her eyes meet with the other's. That blue...
"K-Kay..."
Getting to the others, getting a nasty look right away... Then a firm slap on the back sending a vibration through her body. "W-What in the flyin' bl-blue fuck was that for?" Screeching out to the man beside her. All he did was stare back, nothing to say. Nothing... Wait... Did he know? The hand going from her back to in her hair and pulling her forward. Fuck! Grunting as she fell out of his grip and hit the ground.
He knows...
I know now that he knows...
Move...
Go back...
GO NOW.
Feeling a foot on her back, a hacking cough escaping her lips into the dirt. Fuck.
"Stop."
Ava... She knew that tone even with her face in the dirt. The foot coming up off her back. Letting her breathe. Fucking hell, getting herself up on all fours then looking toward the other two. The man walking back...
What is his name?
A face no name...
He knows...
Think about it...
He could have saved everyone that night. No he got sent off because he knew... He knew about us. Think...
Sara grunting as she got up to her feet, then that pain in her head. Fuck... Not now of all times. Don't do this to me now. Falling back down to the ground, a hand on her back... A light one. Protective. The hand going up to her shoulder and helping her get to her feet.
"Es wird in Ordnung sein."
German... Calm. Calm and no Sai... Alright. Hearing the other say something to the other three with them now... Three of the people that were always in the squad. The other just a fill in.
"Let's get moving."
Ava keeping a calm look as she let the others walk ahead of her. Keeping an eye on Sara as they moved, more or less to just make sure she was not going to fall.
How long did they walk? Sara could not even seem to keep her vision straight. Her mind not agreeing with her at all.
"Bilders."
Your name. Turn your head. Get a look at her. You won't get to see her till...
Just look...
Please...
Don't walk away...
You could have helped...
The feeling of hands tightening around her. Around her throat...
Can't breathe.
"Y-Yeah?"
Not turning her head to look at the other. Just trying to keep herself up straight. No reason to try to make herself ill.
Last time to see her...
Normal...
Light lips against my own...
The taste of blood lingering...
Ava's blood.
At the end trying to make sure I feel better...
We feel better...
Why don't you just turn your head?
"Go set up perimeter. Won't be hard. Sounds quiet." That voice. Stern. Emotions... Everything in check. Sending Sara because it is her job, can't play favorites... Yet.
"Y-Yes'm." Going off just as she was told... Darkness creeping around. Leaving her alone. Turning back. Something in front of her. Blue... Taunting her. Smell of blood hitting her nose. A familiar scent. Clawing at her stomach... Scratching at her nose.
~*~
Scream...
Raising her gun up, aiming... Shooting...
"Sara RUN."
The scream coming from the mass she just shot. Dropping her gun and going to the body... Brown hair... Armor... No please no... Not this. Graying locks falling in front of her face. No...
Tears...
Turning the body over, blue eyes staring right at her. A smile on the face, then a gun brought up... Looking down the barrel of the gun. Ava holding a gun to her? Things seeming to stop around her. Nothing moving. Air not going to her body. Nothing now.
Bang!
~^~
Snapping out of her sleep, struggling for a breath. Had to get air. Putting a hand to her chest as she pulled herself off the side of the bed. Taking the notebook and the box of cigars off of the table. Can't stay in here right now.
Can't.
Can't do it. Getting out of her room, squinting through the sweat drenching her face. Exhaling and feeling the sweat drop off her lips. Move... Move... FUCK MOVE. Gritting her teeth as she only had made it even to her door way.
Just felt... Her mind playing tricks on her... Is she awake? This isn't fair. Can't do this anymore.
Can't.
Hissing as she bent forward the feeling leaving. A familiar feeling from her dream... Her hand resting right on her back, trying to comfort her.
Going back to her bed. All... All she can do now is wait. Wait till they go. Need to go there. Need to see. Why is this year so hard?
Coughing out a sob as she bent down into her legs.
Even here at home... People worried about her. People did. Family did. Taking her hands up into her hair.
Can't.
