Day 6 #MarchofMonsters

A bit of pure nightmare fuel - Grey Ooze! (I genuinely hate the concept of all jellies/oozes/gelatinous whatnots in DnD... just scary.

▲ – A surprise hug. Rhys was the kind of person who often found bruises or scrapes on himself without being able to explain where they came from, but this incident he would remember. “Ack!” Rhys’s foot caught on a loose cobblestone on an outdoor and he flailed, surging forward and clinging to the first being he came in contact with- Inigo.

Inigo, with a free hugs sign taped to his back;

What’s a lonely flirt to do on such a lovely day? Why, hit the town, of course! He’s finally caught up on homework and currently free of needing to study for a test--which calls for a bit of celebration. 

Whistling to himself, Inigo strolls leisurely through the streets, eyeing the market stalls and the real beauties behind them. Once such treasure captures his attention. Runs a hand through his hair, checks that the sleeves of his academy jacket are still rolled up just right. 

With the air of a man who has everything nothing to lose, the playboy casually finds his way in front of the green-eyed girl selling some jewelry or other. “Hel-lo, my beauty! DId you make these earrings yourself? Though your eyes are prettier--” 

A strangled cry and a flurry of limbs later, Inigo finds himself holding that new student up by his armpits. Cheeks burn. The girl hides her giggles behind a slender hand. Inigo sets the boy--Rhys?--upright, dusting off his shoulders. “C-careful there! We nearly...crashed into this l-lovely lady’s stall...” 

Naga save him, he can never show his face around here again.

All Over Cover Stick by E.L.F.

The Pitch: "Achieve smooth and flawless skin easily! The e.l.f. All Over Cover Stick is infused with active natural ingredients and skin polymers to soothe and protect the skin to camouflage those problematic facial areas. Getting a clear fresh face has never been so easy!"

As my rating suggests, I hated this product. I wasn't expecting anything too fantastic at £1.50, but I am usually a big fan of E.L.F products, and most reviews I had read seemed positive, and so this was a disappointment. 

The E.L.F website's directions for use suggest you could use this as either a concealer, or as an all over foundation. I tried both, and both were awful. This gives very little coverage, if any at all, and just looks chalky on your face. Worse still, when applied under foundation, it left the foundation, Revlon Colourstay -left over from before I switched to cruelty free make up- looking chalky and sheer, when it is usually a foundation with a nice finish and full coverage.

This product really didn't do any of the things it claimed it would; the E.L.F. website claims it "camouflages those problematic facial areas" and that it would help you "achieve smooth and flawless skin easily" but the coverage was nill, and my skin genuinely looked worse than it did with no make up on- and with my skin, that's saying something!

I really cannot stress enough how bad this looked on my skin; I tried it with clean skin, moisturised skin, and over a primer, and this made very little difference. It still blended badly, and had a chalky, obvious finish.

On a more nit-picky level, there were a couple of other issues I had with this foundation. It has a very strange scent to it, which is still present once it's on your skin. Its sort of an artificial orange smell, and the thing it really reminds me of those chewy multi-vitamin things that kids have, which is not an ideal scent for make up. Also, as you can see from the photo, it looks very cheap. Despite being used maybe five times, and then just sitting in my make up bag, the text on the packaging is already wearing off, and it also looks like a 4head headache relief stick; this is not a pretty product to have in your collection. These aren't deal-breakers for a product, but in this case, they don't help endear me to a product I'm already less than keen on. 

Overall, I'm not heartbroken by this product not being something I would repurchase; it was only £1.50, and the fact it sold itself as both a concealer or a foundation should have been a red flag, but I'm frustrated that a product I was really hoping would be a cruelty free replacement for the last of my (admittedly very good) Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, has turned out to be fairly rubbish. I'll probably be trying next the B. Flawless Long-lasting Concealer, which at £5.99 now seems, comparatively, very expensive.
