I trust you so I want to ask. Realistically do you think the finale will hold Buck and Lucy getting together after he ends his relationship with Taylor? That comment/moment made me think it’s possible. Sorry if it comes off annoying to you I just am nervous
I'm not annoyed. I appreciate the trust, but I'm not a writer on the show. I don't know what they're planning and I don't know when they intend on what they plan to come to fruition, so please take what I say with an enormous grain of salt and trust your own instincts / feelings. Fandom is supposed to be fun; it's not a cult or religion and I'm not your leader.
Now, to answer your question, do I think Buck/Lucy is possible? I won't say no. I've always said I believe they'd mess around a little, especially post-breakup. But do I think they're endgame? Absolutely fucking not. 9-1-1 did not spend five episodes beating the audience over the head with the fact that Buck, Eddie, and Christopher are a family to just chuck it away with a single glance. I've been convinced Buck/Eddie are endgame since the shooting and nothing that has happened so far has changed my opinion; in fact, 98% of it has only strengthened that opinion. Do I think Lucy is sticking around into Season 6? Unfortunately, yes. And I'm not saying tis to hate on her character or AK before anyone bitches at me for being "misogynistic" again, I just don't think her character meshes well with the team. She's been around long enough now where I can still confidently say that she does't really add much to their existing dynamic. Having said that, her fresh, outside perspective on the innerworkings of the 118 (and their interpersonal relationships, especially since Eddie is/will be coming back soon) should prove to be deeply fascinating.
All in all, do I think you have a reason to be worried? No, my love. It's okay to be nervous; we've all poured so much love and emotion into this show and these characters that the prospect of being completely wrong about everything is probably really... unnerving. But me personally? I'd rank that moment between Buck and Lucy as a 2 on a scale from 1-100 about how "worried" one should be.
Take a breath, and don't fret only hours after the episode. Sleep on it and see how you feel in the morning <3
