(Another ask finished, sorry for the wait, also I only color a tiny bit because I'm too lazy to color all of it. I still have other asks to do. 😔)

Villain Splash never likes hugs and Act Sans only likes it when Amber hugs him, he gets anxious and too nervous and shaky if someone else hugs him.

But...Splash and Amber like hugs, Splash only likes hugs because he hasn't had affection in so long and Amber is just an eleven year old cutie, of course she'll love hugs!

Also, Dade is sleeping. He is trapped in a white void of some sort to get asked and answer but he'd rather sleep...also, he kinda stole Splash's Jacket as a blanket... Don't ask why.

A3! Performance Event - Winter Troupe's Tenth Play: Nomadic Bartender - Episode 3

Hisoka: “Haah… Guess it’s about time. I should just start drinking everything myself. Once I’m done, I’ll close up shop for good.”

Guy: “Hello.”

Hisoka: “!! Welcome!”

Guy: “——”

Hisoka: “Um? Is something wrong?”

Guy: “... I’d like to work here.”

Hisoka: “Oh, what… I’m sorry, but we’re not hiring at the moment.”

Izumi: (Finishing up the 10th round of performances is the Winter Troupe’s wizard-bartender play. Its strongly fantastical setting isn’t something you’d usually see in their plays.)

Izumi: (The characters’ occupations are also based entirely in fantasy.)

Banri: … Wizards are a tricky subject, ‘cause depending on how you cook ‘em, the end result will change.

Tsuzuru: That’s true. If we had done this with a different troupe, the atmosphere would be completely different.

Izumi: In that sense, it’s become something fitting of MANKAI Company’s Winter Troupe.

Izumi: (Guy-san plays Whizz, a wizard who works as a bartender and travels from bar to bar in search of a certain person.)

Izumi: (Gin, the co-lead and owner of the bar Whizz asks to work in, is played by Hisoka-san.)

Banri: As you’d expect, since they already work together at the shop, there are no problems with their chemistry.

Tsuzuru: They’re the perfect fit for these roles.

Izumi: There is one thing that’s bothering me, though…

[Flashback starts]

Izumi: Okay, I think it’s time for the read through…

Izumi: Do you have any questions or concerns after reading the script?

Tsumugi: Um, if I could say one thing.

Tsumugi: In the last scene, Whizz uses magic to erase Gin’s memories of Whizz and his knowledge of wizards.

Tsumugi: I know you’ve played such a role before, but, Hisoka-kun, I was wondering whether you’d be okay acting it out…

Homare: I thought this as well.

Azuma: That’s true. If it’s going to put too much strain on you, we could change it somehow.

Tsuzuru: I’ll adjust the script if you need me to, so don’t hold back!

Izumi: What do you think, Hisoka-san?

Hisoka: … It’s okay. I’ve learned that forgetting isn’t something to be scared of.

[Flashback ends]

Izumi: (That’s what Hisoka-san said, but…)

Guy: “... And so, this is how I will repay you.”

Hisoka: “What drink is this?”

Guy: “Whizz Bang.”

Hisoka: “——“

Hisoka: “...? Huh? I don’t remember making this drink. But this taste somehow reminds me of someone I miss very dearly…”

Izumi: (Gin seems very sad. You can also tell that Guy-san’s Whizz is also very hesitant about erasing Gin’s memories.)

Banri: Kinda thought the last scene was meant to be on a happy note, but you two are makin’ it pretty heartbreaking, huh.

Tsumugi: I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, given that everyone has their own interpretations and acting plan.

Tasuku: As long as Guy-san and Mikage are clear with each other about how they want to end the story, there shouldn’t be a problem.

Guy: No, I think I’m simply being influenced by how I’m currently feeling. I’ll give it some more thought.

Hisoka: Me too… I wasn’t really satisfied with my performance just now.

Izumi: Given we’ve just started practicing, now’s a good time to think about the direction you want to take and solidify it.

Izumi: Okay, let’s wrap up here for today.

Citron: Good work~!

Citron: Lentils from Zahra have arrived!

Izumi: As in the beans?

Tasuku: Or is that a brand name or something?

Guy: If it were, I think it would be something more like Rentilz.

Homare: And what would Rentilz be?

Banri: Gotta be some rental place.

Citron: For the love of… You’re useless! Guy, you’re always the guy messing it up!

Guy: You are the last person I would want to hear this from.

Citron: And there is a fan letter addressed to the Guy who always messes up!

Guy: A fan letter? From Zahra?

Guy: … It’s from Mika. That’s rare. 

Izumi: What does the letter say?

[Paper unfolding]

Mika: “Guy-sama, I would like to extend my sincerest apologies for being unable to attend your play.”

Mika: “We will be holding a theater festival here in Zahra, and preparations have been keeping me busy.”

Mika: “I will be sending my most heartfelt prayers for the success and safety of your performance from here.”

Mika: “First of all, what I believe to be Guy-sama’s appeal as an actor–”

Guy: I shall spare you the rest.

Homare: Were we not just getting to the best part?

Tasuku: This letter is so thick, it’s gonna take you some time to read through it all.

Guy: I will be sure to read it carefully.

Azuma: This is Guy’s first leading role since Opera. What a shame, I’m sure Mika would have loved to see it.

Hisoka: … Mika couldn’t watch the Opera performance in Zahra, either.

Guy: Come to think of it, he was accompanying the Spring Troupe the entire time, and then the performance had to be cancelled due to the commotion.

Tsumugi: That must be why his letter is so thick.

Azuma: How about you call him later and let him hear your voice?

Guy: Yeah, that’s a good idea.

Izumi: By the way, there’s going to be a theater festival in Zahra?

Citron: Yes! It’s a festival where all theater companies in Zahra gather and perform for several days!

Tasuku: Sounds interesting.

Tsumugi: I would have loved to go if the timing was better.

Guy: …

Mika: << Yes? >>

Guy: << Hello. This is Guy. >>

Mika: << Guy-sama!? Hello! Whatever are you calling for? >>

Guy: << I got your letter. Thank you. >>

Mika: << You don’t have to…! I had so much to say that it turned out rather long, I sincerely apologize! I will be rooting for you from Zahra! >>

Mika: << Truth be told, I wanted to be there to watch at the very least the first and last performances in person, but it turned out to be too difficult– >>

Guy: << The first and last, at the very least, you say… >>

Mika: << Obviously, if we didn’t have the theater festival, I would be there for the “full run”...! >>

Guy: << You even know the term “full run”? Zahran does not have a word for this, does it… >>

Mika: << I heard about it from Citronia-sama. Since you have the leading role, I would not want to miss a single day. >>

Guy: << That reminds me, was it Citronia that told you about my leading role? >>

Mika: << It was Tangerine-sama. He said that Citronia-sama told him about it. >>

Mika: << It was also then that he suggested that I write a letter should it be too difficult for me to make it to Japan due to the theater festival preparations. >>

Mika:  << Citronia-sama said that doing so would encourage you. Taking his words to heart, I wrote down what I felt regarding your leading performance. >>

Guy: << I see, so it was Citronia… >>

Mika: << Seeing as he spoke to me like that, I believe Citronia-sama is also looking forward to your performance as the leading actor. >>

Guy: << I have to try even harder than before, then. >>

Mika: << I am rooting for you, of course. But so are Tangerine-sama, and everyone else in Zahra! >>

Guy: << Thank you. >>

Was there any way to make Morgana’s descent into full blown evil tyrant more believable? Like how does she go from someone whose main goal seems to be to take down a tyrant whose murdering people like her, even if it’s not always done in the most well thought out way to an evil tyrant herself who wants to torture, abuse, and even kill her former friends for a throne she now apparently wants for herself?

I don't think there was any way for Morgana's transformation to occur naturally.

I could understand if Morgana became so bitter and disillusioned that she no longer cared about killing whoever stood in her way, especially those without magic who she would consider her enemies. To her, it would all fit into a bigger picture (end Uther's reign, become Queen, restore magic to Camelot), and if she had to kill innocent people (who would not be that innocent in her eyes, because people feared magic and often ratted witches and warlocks out to the King) to achieve her goals, then so be it. It'd all be part of a "greater good".

I could understand Morgana becoming morally ambiguous; someone with "good" intentions, who cared for her kind, but whose methods were cruel and ultimately damned and hurt her own kind as well. At times, Morgana was a more sympathetic character that you could feel sorry for - for example, with Mordred, whom she genuinely cared for, and who had hurt her by initially choosing magic-hating Arthur over her; and with Aithusa, for whom Morgana showed loyalty, love, and sacrifice.

So, even this crazy-pants, evil Morgana could've been a somewhat sympathetic villain had the writers tried. However, imo, the reason why her transformation was just not believable at all, and why I could never support Morgana, was because, somehow, inexplicably, she became a snob overnight.

It's like the writers wanted to make her as Uther-like as possible. Even if Morgana convinced herself that the only way to change things was to kill Uther at all costs, and to be ruthless, I can't understand why she would hate servants? I get her killing Gwen because she needed to take the throne of Camelot, but to hate Gwen simply for being a servant? To be so disgusted that a servant could become Queen? And to hate Merlin so much for that too? What the fuck happened to her? How could her ideals change so much? Someone who stood up for the poor, for those Uther overlooked (like people with magic), who believed in equality... why would she suddenly start hating them?

I could've accepted Morgana's transformation to some extent had it not been for that. Having "hating servants" as a new character trait went beyond any "normal" descent into madness and evil. Had she decided every single royal should die, I would've understood that - the rich feared the power her kind had, which they couldn't control or take for themselves, and thus hunted down those with magic to stay in power and assert their dominance. But for Morgana to start hating servants and the powerless more than royalty was just utter bullshit.

After all, weren't the druids and other magic users outcasts? Most of them were poor and homeless due to being hunted down by people like Uther.

I suppose Morgana could've simply realized that people were all the same, that servants weren't all innocent either - after all, Merlin had tried to kill her. Maybe she felt like she couldn't care about anyone anymore because caring had nearly gotten her killed. In season 2, she had only wanted to take down an evil tyrant yet Merlin had made her the enemy instead.

But if she didn't care for anyone anymore, why would she want to free her people? She was free already, powerful and unstoppable. What good would bringing magic back to the five kingdoms have done? It would've been about power alone, but why would she want power just for the sake of having it? Did she want to show people she was superior? That someone with magic could become Queen too? Was that her ultimate vengeance? Making the people of Camelot submit to someone with magic? But she didn't use to be vengeful or power hungry, and it still wouldn't explain why she hated all servants. There must've been plenty of servants with magic... Idk...

The best explanation I can find for Morgana is Morgause. Morgana didn't use to despise servants but her sister did. It's like, after season 2, Morgana became a reflection of Morgause. I'm starting to believe that Morgause did to Morgana what Morgana did to Gwen in season 5, and that, sadly, by the time Morgause died, the real Morgana had already been lost, so she continued Morgause's work. Morgause was certainly capable of doing it, considering she cast a spell on Morgana without her consent in The Fires of Idirsholas.

I think the writers could've justified Morgana's transformation that way, but that would've made Morgana a simple puppet, and thus more victim than villain. But her story would've become even more tragic, and killing her more complicated, because her old friends would've been torn between stopping her and saving her, or perhaps would've tried to achieve both with no success, and innocent people would've died due to their indecision. To me, that could've fixed some additional issues I had with Morgana, such as why she stayed alive for so long and no one, ie. Merlin or Arthur, tried to hunt her down and kill her.

However, that would've been a cop-out. The writers wanted Morgana to be truly evil, to be the real bad guy, but she wouldn't have been much of a foe had she been magically brainwashed by Morgause - it would've been more realistic, perhaps, but then Morgause would've been the real villain.

Regardless, I believe the real Morgana was too good to ever become fully evil, and certainly not the way they did it. To me, the writers' only choice was between a morally ambiguous Morgana or an evil puppet. Additionally, had Morgana been more like Uther from the very start (ie. cunning, power-hungry, hating servants, etc.), her transformation would've made a lot of sense - however, it would not have been much of a plot twist, or shocking in any way...

The writers wanted to have their cake and eat it too..
