Still kinda busy!

So I’ve been stuck at my grandmas for the ENTIRE week recently and I don’t have the heart to just leave while all my extended family is here.

I hope you guys understand that this means I really won’t be posting until I finally get home (hopefully late tomorrow!!)

It was probably a bad idea to start this blog while I’m out of town but go figure. I’m glad you all enjoy it!

so ik yall have honorary mod hai lee, who's a peach, but i was curious if yall were thinking on another mod to help? ik real life is happenin for yall (which is amazin for you sweeties and i hope yall are lovin it) and i wonder if all yall wanna stick with the blog or if yall need help or kinda what the lowdown is (more outta curiosity; i aint mad, just curious)

We’ve been getting a LOOOOOOOT of questions about adding new mods, so I’ll just go ahead and try to give a cover-all-bases response:

We are currently not accepting new mod applicants for the blog--it’s been like that for a very very long time (if you were around for the old blog) The short answer for that is because we all agreed (the other mods and I) that this blog is strictly a hobby. It was never intended to be taken seriously and we don’t believe in ‘staffing’. Because as some of you may know, once something becomes a responsibility, it can become less fun and we don’t want that.

Additionally, and this may come off as selfish, but all of the mods and I, old and new, we worked incredibly hard to build this blog from the ground up. We obviously couldn’t do it without you incredible people and your submissions, but at the same time, we put a lot of heart into it and have been the same group of writers (and incredibly close friends) for several tumultuous years. (Still going strong, too!!!!) This blog and the work we put into it is sacred to us and to preserve it, we’d prefer to keep it in the family. (HaiLee of course, who is my shining star is an incredibly dear and personal friend of mine so she got in because I forced her to be my friend--that’s not true but she is my best friend.)

It is SO KIND that so many of you are offering your services as mods, really, it’s so flattering and motivating that you want to keep the thirst going. If you wanna help keep the content flowing, we ALWAYS accept submissions and we ALWAYS queue them right away. There really isn’t any downside to doing this, you’re getting your work out there, you’re sharing it with us and the community, and that’s what it’s all about right?
