O and P for the Elucien ask game!

O - OTP: Wax poetic about why Elucien is your OTP. How did you start shipping them? What about them drew you to the ship? Did joining fandom influence the way you ship?

aaaaa I could talk about them for hours. I was definitely influenced by fandom, but not in the way some people may think. Before I actively joined the fandom, I was quite indifferent to all ships, but once I saw people's take on elucien, and this was even before acosf was released, I realized how much I overlooked their scenes. Cause there was just so much going on, and they were not really the focus, so I didn't appreciate them as much as I could've.

I love the whole idea of them choosing to be mates, despite the terrible circumstances in which they met and everything they went through after. And just the fact that their mating bond snapped before they even had one conversation... that is something to look foward to. SJM has never done something like this. Imagine the tension, their longging for a connection, a connection they know they have, but they don't know each other like that, so it is scary.

I think a great love story will come, Elain avoiding the bond, because dealing with it means she's not human at all anymore, and Lucien who has lost things in his life over and over again, has a mate, the most sacred thing for faes, but it might seem for him, that he will spoil that too.

I think they have way too many parallels for it to be a coincidence, they have small moments, like Elain's half step when he was leaving, and I just know their story will be a great slow burn filled with surprises.

P - Personality: What personality traits will Elain and Lucien discover about each other that they'll find irresistible and surprising?

I think they both have a really good sense of humor and I think it is just one more parallel between them, that even though it's kind of a simple one, I think it will be a surprise for them, considering they never had a loose moment between them yet.

We know Lucien is the sassy king of the series and we know Elain loves when people just treat her normally. Like when Nesta snaps and swears at her, and Elain just laughs it off as a good sign. We neeeed that. I think at one point Lucien will just start treating her without stepping on eggs and all of his sassiness will come out and Elain will L O V E it, cause no one treats her like that.

On a more deeper level, I do think Lucien is very carefree and adventurous (also very polite and proper when he wants to), which are things that, at least, at the moment Elain lacks. And at the same time, Elain radiates kindness and hope, which I fear are things Lucien has maybe lost his touch with. So I think they will view these traits and connect with it, cause it's something they long for.

They just complement each other perfectly. She craves light and he is light, but also, she can be light for him, in a way that no one saw it coming.
