Eldin Ring inspired game that seems like a trite copy with unbalanced fighting where it's arguably too easy for an Eldin Ring knock off but in reality, all the classes are a smoke screen.
You're not supposed to plow through the bosses as a barbarian or warrior or paladin or anything else.
You're meant to be a healer.
There's two bars for the bosses and opponents (that eventually respawn cause the land is cursed). One is their health bar. The other a corruption bar. Every move fills the corruption bar further. The harder the fight as a healer, the further along their corruption by the time you get there. As a healer, you purify them. You can use normal (weak cause you're a healer) attacks to weaken your opponent for stronger healing spells that handle both (a gamble cause it will favor health first). But you're meant to cleanse them all from the corruption.
The biggest boss has a corruption bar that spans the entire screen and beyond it. It appears to have a glitch that makes it so the player can kill them in a few hits, no matter the weapon. Just in case someone made it this far without realizing the actual goal. But in reality the corruption has eaten away their bones and blood. They're devastatingly strong but a glass canon.
They won't survive the cleansing, no matter what you do. And there's build up and backstory so they're the perfect, tragic figure. They sought to rule the land into prosperity but were corrupted instead.
Much like the player would have if they beat the game 'normally'. Bad ending.
You're not meant to rule this world or burn it to the ground.
You're meant to save it.
And this world does not want to be saved. It will fight you at every turn it can.
But, if you're truly dedicated, you can do it anyway.
Watch this ruined land be overtaken by spring instead of ashes. Cobblestone cracking as moss covers the bloodstains.
It's still the ruins of a grand civilization, but it's a land that is healing.
Until the sky is clear again and blood is just an afterthought.
