So, it seemed that her idea of going to the gym to watch the festivities had been an excellent idea, as she found herself in the midst of discussion with a redheaded kid who was just... too cute for the world. The two were sitting together with him explaining what project he was working on (a LEGO castle for anyone curious), when she couldn't help but notice her bare wrist.

As the counter ticked down, finally reaching its end, Haruka was all but unaware of its ending, as the person she was destined to meet... came crashing into the student lounge, stumbling as she arrived.

"...Uh. Didn't realize it was unlocked?" She offered to the new arrival, a weak smile on her face as she gazed over the back of the couch.

"No, no no..." The other grumbled as she dusted off her pants, readjusting her hat shortly thereafter. It was only then, though, that Haruka realized her timer had actually stopped. Eyes widening as she swiveled her head to watch the other girl sit down on the couch, a look of almost horror washed over her features. That couldn't have been right. Right?

No, the timer was right. It had to be. There were no reports of them malfunctioning before, so... How could they possibly have failed?

... Still. She had to ask.

"You... your timer. Is it still going?"

"What kind of question is that? Of COURSE it's-"

The reporter froze mid sentence as she rolled up her sleeve, staring down, down at her wrist.
