Hair Pulling

She'd gotten her hand caught in his hair. Why had she stuck it in? To try and pull him over? Perhaps. Or... maybe she was finally drawn to it, as others had been in the past. Sucked in by its sheer fluffiness.

So she jammed her hand in. ...And her fingers were caught.

"Hold still!" She grunted, tugging her hand to free it. This only prompted another angry (pained) squawk from the cat man as he tried to slap at her non-caught hand. "Stoppit! Stop stop STOP!"

"NO! I have to get it out!"

"OWWWWW!"

Finally, her hand was free. ...and she took some hair with it. Toru promptly crouched, holding his head in both hands, emitting a crooning... sound. She looked down at the handful of hair she stole, and... decided to just...

slide that into her pocket. Save it for later.

As the counter ticked down, finally reaching its end, Haruka was all but unaware of its ending, as the person she was destined to meet... came crashing into the student lounge, stumbling as she arrived.

"...Uh. Didn't realize it was unlocked?" She offered to the new arrival, a weak smile on her face as she gazed over the back of the couch.

"No, no no..." The other grumbled as she dusted off her pants, readjusting her hat shortly thereafter. It was only then, though, that Haruka realized her timer had actually stopped. Eyes widening as she swiveled her head to watch the other girl sit down on the couch, a look of almost horror washed over her features. That couldn't have been right. Right?

No, the timer was right. It had to be. There were no reports of them malfunctioning before, so... How could they possibly have failed?

... Still. She had to ask.

"You... your timer. Is it still going?"

"What kind of question is that? Of COURSE it's-"

The reporter froze mid sentence as she rolled up her sleeve, staring down, down at her wrist.

It seemed that this would take some... getting used to.
