So I'm Kinda Dead?
That or I have lost interest in role playing at this blog for a while. But I do role play on Discord, so if you are interested, send me a message and we can talk details.
Aside from that I'm afraid this blog will be abandoned for a bit longer until interests for it peak again.
Apologies for those I left hanging.
you should make a discord server :)

I say that those of us who believed in Time Lady/Hybrid!Clara give ourselves a round of applause. We probably came as close to the mark as anybody can when attempting to anticipate the Grand Moff of Plot Twists! And an especially big round of applause to YOU and fans like you who remained stubbornly optimistic throughout all the heavy foreshadowing this season! *applauds and bows*
woooh predicting things right based on character buildiiiiiing
I remained optimistic for two reasons: One, I’ve generally been pretty satisfied with conclusions from Moffat, even if they are bittersweet, and two, the show is still a show that a child should watch and find value and hope in.
It’s been divisive, and it’s a lot of “different strokes for different folks”, but as someone who was not satisfied in the slightest by Clara’s death in Face the Raven (and I’m sorta ‘eh’ about the fact that that’s still where she dies but whatever), I can be pretty happy with what we got. The general message I took away from Clara’s entire time was that yeah, it is possible to be a regular normal human and have within you the capacity to be the Doctor. I try and think about how important that is for a kid, or anyone who sees themselves in a companion character, and how important it is to maintain and foster that sense of wonder and optimism.
The Doctor is a character that can inspire great virtues and values, but he isn’t the audience surrogate: the companion is. One of the missteps that I took away from Donna’s finale is this sense that the show was saying you can’t be the Doctor, because it’ll get taken away from you, because you are “just a human”. While the set-ups for the two were different, they played with the same idea, and I’m glad we at least got one “you can do it!” ending.
That is how I view Clara and her finale, which I know people are going to disagree with. But it’s because of my optimism in the show that I really fought hard to keep up with this idea the entire time. It isn’t quite what I was thinking, but it’s pretty close and I can live with it.
I'm feeling emotions that I'd rather not feel.
Me: yeah im gonna get stuff done today!
Internet:*punches me in the face* NOPE~!
