Summer of Suggestions 2: IMPORTANT UPDATE
Alright, after taking a closer look at my list of all the suggestions you’ve sent me, I think it’s time to make some executive decisions. The fact of the matter is, you have once again completely swamped me with way too fucking many shows, and I’m gonna have to adjust the fuck out of my schedule if I want to get to them all.
So, first order of business, the suggestions box is now closed. I’m truly sorry I couldn’t leave it open until the end of April like I wanted, but I just cannot afford to take in any more shows. Thankfully, you’ve already loaded me down with enough to last a lifetime. I’ll begin with Mo Dao Zu Shi once I finish Carole & Tuesday, and poor Beastars will have to wait its turn for another day.
Second, once I finish the first route of Fate/Stay Night, I’m going to put the VN on pause and watch nothing but your suggetions, 2 at a time, alternating each day. I did this last year as well and I was hoping to avoid doing so again, especially since I’d be stopping in the middle, but that’s the only damn way I’m gonna have enough time to finish all these shows.
And lastly- and this is important- I will finish all these shows. Even if I have to go past August to do it, I will complete the list you’ve given me until no shows remain. I’m not gonna let this be like last year where the last few stragglers are left in limbo forever, By hook or by crook, I will get to all your requests.
Once again, thank you for your enthusiasm, and thank you for bearing with me through this tumultuous period in everyone’s life. In the future, I think I’m going to try limiting this thing to one show per person, just for my sanity’s sake. Here’s hoping I don’t run myself ragged, and I’ll see you all for the ride of a lifetime very soon!
bears are drawn to wayne, eh?
Never thought I'd like Ford so much when I first started this game
I've been meaning for awhile to write a breakdown on the beginning personality traits, so here you are! One thing to keep in mind is that these perks, barring Miracle Worker and Layabout, are beginning advantages that should be chosen primarily on playstyle and personal preference.
Now then!
Animal Lover: Gives you a heart to start with when you buy an animal (including your pets and horse!). This never ends, but keep in mind that it will likely take a little while before you can buy your first cow or chicken, and you can max out their affection in a month with regular Soft Treats. (Though it's very useful with pets, as they go up very slowly.)
Fisher: Gives you the first two fishing ranks from the beginning, making it easier to catch rarer fish earlier. I'd recommend this if you want the least intrusive perk or you plan to do a lot of fishing.
Sports Enthusiast: Lets you start with six stamina hearts, instead of five. This is quite useful for early-game, but it's worth noting that you'll still cap out at ten. Nevertheless, it's definitely useful for when you start out, and probably the best perk if you don't plan on marrying.
Tycoon: You start with 50,000G. Again, very useful as a starting advantage- it allows you to buy your livestock and their treats right off the bat (not to mention seeds, fertilizer, or the restaurant, for stamina.)
Charmer: Starts you off with a full heart for every villager (5000fp for regular ones and 10,000fp for love interests). This doesn't seem all that great, but that's enough to start eating meals with people- which usually gives stamina recovery and occasionally a bonus effect or two. You'll miss out on white heart lines unless you give someone a bad gift, but that's about it.
These next two require you to get all your towns to link rank A and see the party, and thus are impossible to use on your first playthrough without borrowing a cartridge.
Layabout: You start the game with two stamina hearts, and max out at seven.
Miracle Worker: You can carry over from a previous file all your money, clothes, and recipes, as well as your stamina hearts (though, again, the cap is still ten). This does not delete the previous file unless you save over it, and you will not lose anything on there.
Omg the picture theatre in Trio of Towns just referenced the old Zelda cartoon. I'm so happy.
