Reputation | Tori & Frankie
Tori sat at her usual lunch table with the athletes, or the ones who bothered to show up that day. They sat inside to avoid breathing in any of the smog outside and to assert their dominance in the social latter. The princesses were seated at the same table, a few seats down, some of them applying their makeup. Tori knew that she would never fit in with the princesses, one of their unsaid requirements for belonging to the clique being "Don't hook up with losers at parties." She couldn't help but think about how her actions over the weekend led to a brewing scandal, and the possibility of her parent's finding out. Tori was particularly mad at Zig and Frankie, the ones threatening to reveal her secret to everyone, and for taking her threats to them lightly. The girl noticed Frankie, the one who was causing the biggest problem, sitting outside with the rest of her hooligan friends, the sight of her infuriating Tori. Whenever she threatened Zig and Frankie, they both laughed at her, thinking she was this weak person, and she was out to prove them wrong. Tori was stronger than everyone thought, mentally and physically, and after today, hopefully no one would want to mess with her. She was thankful that her gym wasn't related to school or anything, because what she was about to do could get her suspended if the right people went to administration. She figured her reputation was more important than a suspension that could occur. Tori got up from her table inside and walked fiercely to the benches just outside the cafeteria doors. "So, what's up Frankie?" she asked, in her normal sweet voice, knowing that the girl would probably reply with something snarky, giving her the opportunity to strike.
Frankie's weekend consisted of two major things - cleaning and fights - both of which were because of the party her brother had decided to throw while their parents were out of town. It seemed like a good idea to the niner at the time, mainly because she wanted to invite her own list of people just to piss off the athletes and the princesses. However when she found out that her "friend" with benefits had hooked up with someone else at her own house, Frankie had been the pissed one. She wasn't exactly sure why, nor could she give any answers about it to Zig when he asked. Tori leaving her clothes at the Hollingsworth had only made the situation worse, especially to give Frankie some sort of blackmail. But she didn't use it as that; instead, she used it to get back at the tenner by supergluing it to the front of her locker during the school day. It wasn't all that clever, though she still found amusement in Tori's reaction. Frankie turned her head at the sound of her name coming from an outside source, her right brow raising at the sight. She pressed her lips together as she stood from the bench and lightly crossed her arms over her chest, dropping her cigarette to the ground. She preferred weed to cigarettes, however on school grounds she wouldn't have been caught dead with the stuff. "I know you like to hook up with losers now but that doesn't mean you're welcome around here," the younger girl spoke, not having a care about the attitude that was laced with her voice. "I can point you to where Zig hangs during lunch if you'd like, though."
Tori laughed as Frankie assumed that she was looking for a new group of friends. She wanted to get this over as soon as possible, because they only had 30 minutes for lunch and she need to get the rest of her calories that meal. Tori quickly balled up her fist in her hoodie pocket, knowing that Frankie would be unprepared for what was coming. She lifted her hand out of her pocket and hit Frankie in the center of her face. "Do you really think I want to spend my time out here with underachievers like you? As if," she said, shaking her head, "As for Zig, I'm not interested in that, so you can go back to worshipping your shrine of him, or whatever," she continued. Tori pushed her against the brick wall outside, to avoid making a bigger spectacle for the kids inside the cafeteria. "Listen here, Franks, you're going to keep your mouth shut about everything, even this. The next time we have to do this, I'll bring a friend. Don't mess with me, understand?" she said, whispering and yelling at the same time.
Frankie wasn't typically one to get into physical fights, at least anything other than horsing around with friends. She wasn't the ideal size to even win against anyone else, let alone Tori. The hit knocked the smaller girl off guard and she slightly stumbled backwards, one of her hands immediately reaching up to grab onto her nose. "What the f-" she attempted to spit out, though Tori's own words cut her off. Frankie glanced up at her through narrowed eyes, letting out a huff of air in annoyance. Her hands fell to her side as she was pushed up against the wall, a quiet groan creeping up the back of her throat at the new surface. She remained quiet as Tori said what she needed to say, though her face tightened in a grimace. "Don't tell me what I'm going to do," she grumbled, beginning to feel blood trickle above her top lip. "And don't touch me," Frankie added on with an angry tone, using her hands to shove Tori off of her.
Tori took a few steps back after Frankie shoving her backwards, laughing at the younger girl's statement. She put her arm out, preventing Frankie from walking past her, pushing her back against the wall. "I don't think you understand," she said, slapping her across the cheek, "You're gonna do whatever I tell you to do," she stated. She stepped back from the younger girl adjusted her curly locks, smiling at the shorter girl. "I need to finish my lunch at some point. Am I going to have to spell it out for you, or do you understand what I told you?" she asked. Tori's hand was a little sore from hitting Frankie's face, but her adrenaline rush dulled the pain that she would probably feel more intensely at tumbling class. "I mean, I can always get a late note to class if you want to continue," she explained.
Frankie let out a grunt at the feeling of Tori's palm against her cheek which left a stinging sensation. She almost wished that she had some sort of weapon to use against Tori since she didn't have enough strength in her body, or at least have spent the lunch period with some of her friends so this situation would have been avoided. "I got it," she muttered between gritted teeth, forcing a smile in girl's direction once she stepped away from her. Frankie brought up her hand to wipe some of the warm liquid from her upper lip, her eyes avoiding actually looking at it. "I'm good," she answered, taking in a deep breath. "And I have a cigarette to finish." Without waiting for Tori to say anything else, Frankie trudged past her, moving to the original spot she'd been in. She leaned down and picked up her cigarette from the asphalt, taking a puff from it. "Fucking psycho."
Tori crossed her arms, as Frankie agreed to her terms and conditions. "I'm glad we understand each other," she said, watching the other girl collect herself and go back to smoking. "You should really consider quitting, it's not healthy, you know," she said, shrugging her shoulders. She saw people moving around in the lunch room, a few of them throwing their trays away. She walked towards the door, turning back to smile at the girl. "Nice chat," she said, before turning and walking back inside. She found her place at the table, finishing her small salad, and joking with the boys. Tori was glad that the situation had been taken care of, for the time being.
