Ehalakasa Slam I in Pictures
Students of SOS HGIC open the Ehalakasa Slam 1 with poetry performances.
Five poets challenged for a place in the November Finals in the first slam of the year 2015. Three winners emerged - Eliodor the Poet (Winner), pj100 (1st Runner-up) and Emmanuel Akambo (2nd Runner-up).

Letter To The Class Of 2015...
Six months... Just six months... The jokes we cracked in our English class... The Add Maths that we all seem never to barb(apart from those "sharks")... The way we laugh when BJ is not able to seek permission to use the washroom using that romantic French language... The wise business and economic terms we have come to learn... Our faithful coursework that we always struggle, barely meeting the deadlines... C4 plans... Websites or databases... Its just six months left... I remember our presentation when we were leaving IG1... Is IG2 ready for us??? In about two weeks...our first semester IG2 exams...they are expecting us to blow... In about three months...the auditorium we will meet with chairs neatly arranged...in such a strict order we will think it is the real exams...just mocks... So why am I remembering this... Aren't I supposed to be learning for my history test on Germany 1918-1945...I am taking a break from all the facts and dates and let the English language sooth my nerves... But my dear class... This short walk down memory lane is still ongoing... Old friends... New friends... Cousin discovered... Tolerance level increasing... Independence level heightening... Time management...we always meet that hour-minute-second hand... Thinking skills...let me leave your mind to wander... We will all meet... In IB... Few friends lost...not forgotten... New ones made...another journey is beginning... I won't lie... These six months we are all praying should come by and pass...we will miss it... But as the end of one of my coursework poems say... And will I miss it, dear? Why, yes, we miss The violets always – till the roses come! And on this note... Till our Roses blossom after the continuos watering in the auditorium... I shall be enjoying the violets I see at the moment... Your classmate... Puumaya Fareedah Attah Nantogmah *Now back to Weimar Germany*
