More unexplained fires have appeared over the past few nights, this time in the Port District. The most impacted area was the pier along Sunset Beach. Citizens are going to be unable to access the pier until repairs can be made as it is highly unstable right now. The culprit(s) appear to be returning each night and reigniting the fires here. Officials assure that they are closing in on those responsible and they will soon be brought to justice. There is no doubt this has struck an economic blow on the city, the only comment received from the mayor’s office thus far is that “we will be back on our feet in no time”.

Breaking News:

In the wake of the recent heatwave, it appears a person or persons unknown have taken to arson. Thus far the fires have been targeted solely in the Residential District, particularly around Bluett Creek with several homes being destroyed. As many of the poorer citizens live there, donations to help those who have lost homes to these crime can be given at the community center and will be distributed according to need. The police department asks anyone with information to step forward and help stop these arsonists.

As an unprecedented heat wave sweeps across Port Ashbourne citizens are advised to stay in their homes where possible and not to spend extended periods outside. The hospital is quickly filling with victims of heatstroke and hyperthermia. The best way to avoid aliment is to drink water. As temperatures climb over 104 degrees, scientists are left baffled as to how this phenomenon is happening in January.
