Sculpture represents the artist's wife and daughter. This sculpture is part of a series of bas-reliefs commissioned by Jacques Doucet and Paul Poiret, famous couturiers and collectors, patrons of the artist. In 1968, Léon Indenbaum received the prestigious "Georges Wildenstein" Award of "Institut de France" for all of his work. One of his sculptures beats the world record 2004 for a decorative artwork of the 20th century at $ 4.6M. I included 6 items from their sale (@fornasettiofficial malachite plates, a faience parrot ewer, @buccellatimilan silver place card holders, colored, cut-glass wine glasses, Italian bamboo candlesticks, and a majolica fish tureen). All of these items compliment my own table setting, but I was also inspired by the beautiful simplicity of flowers and bud vases by @francespalmer and several whimsical bespoke place cards by @mrpsplacecards. Oh- and the floral @gucci slippers? Figured I should wear them at my virtual dinner party to match my tablescape.
