July 12th, 2016 Metropolis, IL
Did you know Metropolis, IL is the only city named “Metropolis” in the United States? So obviously it’s the home of Superman! It’s definitely not the Metropolis we know from TV, though. No skyscrapers here! It’s at the very lowest tip of IL and it has very small-town vibes. After visiting the Superman statue (some other tourists took our photo!) we decided to go to the Superman Museum and Gift Store as well! I’m so glad we were able to stop by on our way to Florida!
