clara & ellington | fun with alps
Ellington was half-asleep when she received the call from Clara. Well, from Clara, she couldn't be sure, as all she heard was sounds of a struggle and a series of concerning whimpers and shouts. She was terribly confused until she remembered the other woman's insistence on hunting down that damned alp herself. Thinking back on it, allowing Clara to go and find the alp without Ellington's assistance might not have been the wisest move, but it took a load off of Ellington's plate, and Clara seemed confident enough.
Though, now, Ellington was doubting Clara, enough that as soon she got the call, she jolted up from her desk and sprung to her car. She'd tracked down the alp eventually, but left the rest to Clara. Definitely not her wisest move.
Ellington pulled up to the abandoned cottage with a scowl - it was always the creepiest of places, damn it - and jumped out of the car and through the doorway. "Clara?" she called out, ignoring the slight tremble of her voice.
