LIVE DJ SET AT OPENING COCKTAIL OF SOUK @ SAT #13, NOVEMBER 2016

For the 2016 edition DJ Stephane Cocke kept the same vibe as last year, crafted to fit Azamit's vision of the souk @ sat mixing tradition with modernity.

Hear his favourite tracks of the moment old or new. Again with a strong african presence from Angola, Benin, Mali, Senegal, and Ethiopia with the opening track by Multatu Astatke. A tribute to Leonard Cohen with 2 reworks of both the Partisan and the more recent Travelling Light. A fresh Nina Simone rework by Lifeboogie. A wonderful new version of Why Can’t we live Together by Soul Sugar available on Bandcamp and many others discoveries he hopes you'll enjoy as much as we did!

Cette année, c’est du 30 novembre au 4 décembre que l’iconique souk @ sat vous invite à flâner, pour une treizième fois, parmi la crème des créations montréalaises contemporaines. Le jury de cette 13ème édition, composé d’Emilie F. Grenier (designer d’expériences narratives), Zoé Mowat (designer d’objets et de mobilier), Guillaume Cardell (directeur de création), Philippe Lebel (designer) et Azamit (spécialiste en design d'expériences - fondatrice du souk @ sat) a été transporté par la finesse des produits proposés. Qu’ils aient été faits main ou façonnés à la machine, les objets choisis font l’état du raffinement des créateurs d’ici. Suivez-nous dans les prochains jours où on vous dévoilera les coups de coeurs de chacun des membres du jury parmis les centaines de designers présents au souk @ sat de l'édition 2016. Tous au souk! _____ For its 13th edition, the critically acclaimed souk@sat returns from November 30th to December 4th with a curated selection of Montreal’s finest contemporary creations. This year’s jury made up of Emilie F. Grenier (narrative designer), Zoé Mowat (objects and furniture designer), Guillaume Cardell (creative director), Philippe Lebel (designer) and Azamit (design experiences specialist - founder of the souk@sat) was blown away by the exceptional finesse of the proposed products.
