Ive made this post before but i cant find it so whatever. I love how in the sonic+tails soulbond au, sonic's attitude towards having a soulbond starts off being Bad. He Hates the idea. but in the sonic+eggman one, his attitude starts off quite positively!! whoa thats so cool that he has this bond with someone!!

its bc of the different ways he found out what the red string actually meant and the different ways he met the person on the other side but I still think its cool. in both his opinion of soulbonds in General ends up being neutral, he doesnt really think it has to mean anything if you dont want it too, and in the sonic+tails one he doesnt attribute his and tails' bond to the fact they share a soulbond. it was Them who got close Despite that, independently of that. In the sonic+eggman one, well. he is not neutral about it he is harbouring a lotta negative feelings about it. but mostly he tries not to think too hard about it

PLUS the fact that in the sonic+tails one having a soulbond is very common but in the sonic+eggman one having one is very rare, that also plays a part in how sonic veiws them in general

soulbond /neg au. in this one, having soulbonds is fairly rare, but not unheard of. tails goes to sonic "do you think if we had a bound it would be to each other?" and sonic would go "aha of course little buddy its you and me against the world" and ruffle tails fur and then immediately leave and go on a very long run
