Soulmate! Dark! Regulus Black x Pureblood! Wife! Reader
SEXUAL THEMES, TORTURE, VERY VERY DARK, definitely AU but still same plot
Summary: Unlike your soulmate Regulus Black, you believe in equal rights for all witches and wizards. This does not bode well with your fiancé and his family leading to you being punished on the wedding day.
I dont really say what your mark is because I want it to be what you want, it should be a mix of you and him.
You came from a pureblooded family that believed in equality for everyone, so you always figured your soulmate might be adjacent to those same beliefs. The soulmate mark would appear on your twenty first birt4bhday which so happens to be around the corner.
Multiple pureblooded families were coming to celebrate with your family as they were well known and well liked despite their beliefs. Your family did hold a lot of power in the Wizarding world, that is probably why the others just accepted the way you thought.
You invited your friends as well which consisted of every kind of witch and wizard. Muggleborns had always fascinated you the most, you loved to learn about the way they grew up. Perhaps you learned it from your mother and father who had quite a handful of muggleborn friends themselves.
You kind of hoped that your soulmate was not a pureblood solely for the fact that pureblooded men were possessive when it came to their soulmate. Like a second instinct to cause them to freak out at any sign of a threat. You would give credit where it was due, your father worked for years on himself before pursuing your mother. She waited patiently for him too. You would love a love like that but unfortunately not every man has that willpower.
Your heart twisted when your mother announced that the Crouchs, Blacks, and Rosiers were going to be attending. They were just looking for their next breeding cow.
Those families only cared about pureblood status. They more than likely were hoping it would turn out their son was your soulmate. It was quite odd that neither of them had found said soulmate, they were twenty-three. I guess that is not that far from your age, but you dreamed you could find him right away. How agonizing it would be just to know that they were out there but no way to find them.
BIRTHDAY TIME
Your family had woken you up with a big breakfast in bed. This is something you would miss when you had to leave home, their never-ending love. This was going to be the best birthday ever; you just knew it!
You looked at your wrist; it already had the mark on it. Something so intricate, you were sure your soulmate had to be a distinguished gentleman.
Getting dressed up for the party was the most fun, you always loved getting dolled up with muggle music. You couldn't wait until you had someone to share that with.
Your mother stood in the doorway of your room with a gentle smile. "My, how you have grown into yourself. No matter what happens tonight, you will always be welcomed at home."
"We don't even know if I will find my soulmate tonight, I love the confidence though!" You both shared a laugh.
The dress you decided to put on was absolutely beautiful. Very elegant but stylish. It was how you would describe yourself if you were a piece of clothing.
You would make your appearance after all guests had arrived. A dramatic entrance was what you were going for, you were your house in Hogwarts for a reason! Everyone could be dramatic though, simply human nature.
Your mind began to race at the thought of your soulmate being downstairs waiting for your arrival. Gosh, you wish you hadn't chosen to be so flamboyant with your descent into the party now.
.
As you did make your way down the grand staircase in your house, you felt every eye on you as whispers began. It was like the muggle movies you loved to watch.
Three boy you recognized as Regulus Black, Evan Rosier and Barty Crouch Jr all stood next to one another glancing you over. Their whispers to one another made your skin litter with bumps at the shiver of anxiousness. You're almost fairly certain they all had joined he who must not be named whilst still attending Hogwarts. They were two years your elder, so you barely interacted with any of them in school. Occasional greetings that meant nothing to you.
As the party commenced at your appearance, people kept coming up to wish you a happy birthday casting glances at your wrist. They tried to make it discreet, not really though. If you had the same mark as their son's, they would jump at the opportunity to get you married at once.
"May I have the next dance?" A voice asked you from behind you making you slightly gasp at not even knowing they were there.
Regulus Black. A very handsome man, black curly locks and the same grey eyes all his family had. You used to have a slight crush on his older brother, Sirius Black, even though he was very much older than you.
"You may."
"I am most appreciative of the acceptance." It seemed like a routine, but you offered a gentle smile to him. This boy would do anything to make his family happy.
You did not like his belief system either. It would be rude to turn him down without knowing him truly. That is how you were raised, don't judge a book by its cover.
The dance began with the said boy, your arms held up to each other but not touching. Your eyes widened at the mark that was poking out of his long sleeve outfit. He only stared at you with no expression, did he already know it was you?
He realized what he was doing and offered a smile. Willingly you accepted it, this was your soulmate! Luck was definitely on your side, this was amazing. A handsome man was your soulmate; was he gentle though?
The dance ended faster than you had anticipated, Regulus grabbed ahold on your hand to drag you out to the balcony that overlooked your family garden. Some of the plants have been there since the house was built in the 1500s kept alive through love and magic.
Your eyes looked over your soulmate. God, he was so handsome it was making you subconscious about your appearance now.
"I would like to get to know you before we get married."
"I wouldn't have it any other way, darling."
He froze at the pet name you gave him. "Don't call me that until we have an established relationship, please."
He walked off of the balcony leaving you a smiling mess. You began to do a little dance and laugh at the situation. He was going to try to get his possessive nature under control like your father did! This was truly the luckiest life anyone could ask for.
1st Date moments
To say it was tense and awkward was an understatement. His family seemed thrilled that you were his soulmate, a rich pureblood with a powerful family. It made Regulus look even better to his mother congratulating him on not turning out like his blood traitor brother.
This information was kept from you, of course. Didn't need you backing out for any reason, a new heir would be born to them from you soon enough.
You were too entranced by Regulus and his beauty to really focus on how much of a red flag he truly was. "It was enchanting to meet you the other night, you have grown out of that little girl you were at Hogwarts." It seemed like his words were rehearsed once again but you paid no mind to it.
This was your soulmate. He had to feel the love immediately like you did, thats just how it worked didn't it?
Don't rush into it. Your mother's word of advice came into mind at that moment. Your smile fell slightly but picked back up when Regulus grabbed ahold of your hand.
"Where to first?" He asked with a newfound tone in his voice. You couldnt place what it was though. The way his hand felt around yours made your mind too fuzzy to think.
He took you to the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade, it brought back memories of your friends. Softly sighing as you looked it over with a small smile on your lips.
"Is something the matter?"
"Not at all, just brings back fond memories."
"Oh."
The awkwardness came creeping back in for some reason, was it supposed to be this awkward with your soulmate?
2nd Date Moments
Even with the awkwardness of the last date, you agreed to go out again two weeks later with him. He was your soulmate after all.
You decided to go with an outfit that showed off more skin than typical this time. It was modest still in your opinion, a cute little outfit. You smiled at you looked yourself over in the mirror, running down the stairs so you could greet Regulus when he got here.
He was taking you to just walk around and windows shop in Diagon Alley. This would be a perfect date, you would do what it took to make it so.
When he first saw what you were wearing, you could have sworn his jaw clenched. It was probably just your imagination, right? Still he did smile at you as he took your hand and led you to your designated area.
After the afternoon was seemingly going well, less awkwardness more laughter, you both decided to go back to the Three Broomsticks.
You only wished you hadn't done so. Some man looked at you a little too long for Regulus liking causing him to go completely mental. Curses were being thrown between the two, Regulus was winning for the most part. He didn't have a scratch on him, you just felt utterly embarrassed.
"Regulus-"
His eyes snapped to you as if warning you. The way he looked at you made you want to vomit, it was intense. "If you look at my wife again, I will make sure I use more than just unforgivable curses on you, mudblood."
You didnt hear what he whispered to the man whatsoever but you weren't sure you really wanted to. He was scaring you as well as others around. His hand grasped the side of your face in an almost loving manner, but it was darker than that. More like a possessive claim on you, something everyone was watching.
"Sorry, love. It was like I couldn't control my emotions."
With that you forgave him, maybe he was still trying to work on that issue.
Sixth Date Moments
The jealousy he gave off anytime a threat appeared was endless. You still forgave him no matter how many times someone got hurt. It seemed like you were just going to have to get used to it until he finally got it under control.
That leads to this moment, you're pinned underneath him moaning out his name.
"You're mine."
You thought it was endearing so you responded to him , "I'm yours."
He growled almost animalistic in response. "Fuck, you are. You belong with- to me. I will kill anyone who looks at you again."
You didn't understand why but his words only made you wetter. His thrusts were becoming more harsh now as if thinking of someone looking at you. It wasn't that big of a deal if someone glanced at you?
Not all the time would it be because you're attractive; some people are just curious by nature.
After he left his marks all over your body, you got the courage to finally bring it up.
"Regulus, why do you get so upset when someone just glances at me?"
"You're my soulmate, not theirs. It makes me mad when people think they can look at what belongs to me as if they want to take you away."
"I would never leave you or choose anyone over you, you know this dont you?" It was the truth, anyone who left their soulmate was dumb in your opinion. How naive you are.
He smiled gently as he played with your hair, you were laying on top of his chest smiling up at him. It seemed like a genuine smile now.
"I would hurt everyone you loved if you did."
"I'm sorry, I didn't hear you."
"Nothing of importance, dear."
Random Moments
Your head lay in your fiance lap as he read the newspaper, you stared up at him with a smile. He didn't even look down at you to know what you were thinking.
"I will not be participating, if you want to put on your muggle make up and music go ahead."
"Please, darling~ I will make you the prettiest girl to exist!"
"No. I have a meeting to attend to later, I simply can't do it today." The truth was he just didn't want to get dolled up. What would his family think if they saw him?
"You can't escape this forever, I'll be waiting in the shadows when you least expect it."
Regulus leaned down to kiss your forehead. "I have no doubt in my mind when it comes to that." He teased.
Bachelorette Party
Your friends gathered at your house as they had plans to pre-game before stepping out into the night. You wanted to celebrate in the Muggle world because you figured it would be more fun. Regulus barely let you go now for some odd reason.
He claimed he wasn't prejudice like his family contrary to popular belief so you believed him. That is why it didn't make sense when he got mad when you mentioned Muggle and Muggleborn friends.
That did not matter at this moment to you, you were such a light weight. The sting of alcohol went down your throat as your friends cheered you on.
"Alright, ladies. Let's hit the town!"
Everyone cheered on in agreement.
"Clubbing? With Muggles? This is exciting!" One of your pureblooded friends said, her family was like yours as well less influential but nonetheless.
You smiled widely. You had never been to a club before let alone a Muggle one. There were some very cute Muggle boys you have come across over the years growing up. You had almost wished one was your soulmate until you met Regulus. Your Regulus was the most handsome man you have ever seen in your life, you count yourself quite lucky.
After clubbing with your friends, you all were a little tipsy as you made your way back to your family mansion. One of your friends tried to apparate home but ended up on the other side of the street causing a fit of laughter to erupt.
That was until you could have sworn you saw a familiar face watching you from the shadows. Was that Regulus? The figure caught notice of you looking at him so he turned away. Stranger more like it.
You all continued your way until a few muggle boys passed by. One of your friends was the bold type when drunk so she whistled at them. "I wouldn't mind some muggle love tonight!"
They exchanged looks, probably wondering what muggle meant, until they came up to your friend group. It looked like there was enough of them to match your friend group.
"Would you like to accompany us to a little get together?" These boys were gentlemen like your Regulus.
One of them was looking at you as if debating on asking a question. It seemed he finally gained the courage as he called your name in a question.
"Huh? Oh my Merlin, is that you Tom?" Your smile widened as you notice the boy in front of you as your childhood friend. Your parents were friend with some Muggles as well meaning this boy was over for some playdates in the past. You hugged him as he hugged you back. He picked you up to spin you as laughed. "Look at you! You're getting married? Remember when we used to play house and you forced me to be the wife?"
Your laughter echoed off the alleyway that was beside you. "I do! Oh my, I don't know why you agreed to that. I even put my princess tiara on you because you were my-"
"Princess!" The both of you said at the same time with a chuckle.
"You held me down and pointed a stick at me saying you would use it if you had to. Not sure why I was so terrified of that but I was!"
The two of you began to catch up on your lives while you friends and the other boys watched ahead to wherever you were headed. That stick wasn't even a wand but you treated it as such.
He brought up the fact you used to call him your soulmate, so he belonged to you by default. "That was a pretty toxic and intense marriage. I am beginning to feel a little pity for your husband."
Your heart stopped for a second, recounting his words. That was how Regulus treated you now as adults, but he actually is your soulmate. Tom seemed to notice the way you stopped before patting you on the shoulder. "I was only joking, I'm sorry if what I said was insensitive. Forgive me?"
He hadn't done anything wrong. You nodded shyly, "That's alright, I didn't mind the joke!"
"Then what has you troubled?"
"It's nothing, let's go have some fun!"
The fun was a bunch of muggles playing games amongst themselves, still a good way to sober up before going home.
Wedding Day
You haven't seen Regulus for a few days, something that didn't happen often. But its better this way, it could be even more luck for the wedding!
Your wedding dress was originally your mother's with few tweaking to your liking. You hoped that Regulus would start crying when he saw you like you saw so many people do before in movies. It was going to be like a fairytale.
That was until you saw his expression as you walked down the aisle with your father holding your arm. Your eyes shifted to the way his jaw was clenched, his fist was as well. His eyes showed the anger he had when he was fighting people who looked at you. What was wrong? It was your wedding, people were going to look at you.
Your father whispered in your ear. "Say the word and I will call the wedding off."
You giggled at him trying to calm your nerves. "I think Regulus would lose his mind if I did so."
"I'm afraid you're right, a very jealous boy he is. That doesn't change the fact that if you want to run away you can, I wont judge you."
If you wanted to run away you can.
This was your soulmate, you couldn't abandon him. Not at the alter, that was one your biggest fears. Soulmate rejection was not an easy acceptance for people which is why it rarely happened. Besides you had already accepted it by sleeping with him multiple times, if you didn't you could have that option.
You shook that thought from your head. Quit being like this, this is your soulmate, your Regulus. This feeling was always in the back of your mind, that the relationship wasn't right but you quickly shot it down. Ultimately betraying yourself at the end of the day.
"Do you take - to be your wife, in sickness and health?"
"I do."
"Do you take Regulus Black to be your husband, in sickness and health?" Your eyes shot to your parents, scared. Scanning the crowd frantically, you saw Tom in the crowd smiling warmly for you. If only he had been your soulmate, that would have felt right.
Someone object please. Someone please, I'm scared.
"Miss?"
"I do."
Your mind was trying to save you again for some reason. The kiss that Regulus gave you was rough, almost angry with you for taking so long to say I do. He picked you up bridal style and walked back down the aisle. Everyone cheered throwing the flowers that had been thrown about by the flower girl.
The reception would be the best part, friends and families dancing and having fun.
Regulus carried you all the way to a hidden room. "What are we doing in here, darling?" As he set you down on a desk in the room, you grabbed his hands.
"I need you right now."
"Oh, right now? But there are people-"
"Now."
He got in between your legs spreading them apart, lifting the dress back for you to hold yourself. His fingers went to your underwear that was the same color as your dress, you moaned a little when you felt his fingertips on you.
He looked up at you as he pulled them off you. "She's so beautiful, so mine." You didnt know if he was talking about you or what his fingers were preoccupied with.
The way his voice sounded made you almost moan, god was he always this desperate for it? He began to lick up, taking in all of you before he began sucking. Your moans could be heard from doors down if anyone came to this part of the building. As you were reaching your orgasm, he suddenly pulled away.
"Why the fuck are you cheating on me with a muggle no less?"
Your eyes shot open from being closed in pleasure. "What are you talking about, love?"
"Don't love me, I saw you hugging that disgusting specimen. How could you even let a Muggle touch you?"
"Regulus, I did not cheat on you. He is a family friend since childhood, that is all. I swear-"
"Liar! I saw the way your eyes shot to him when you hesitated. No matter I told you if I you tried to leave I would hurt the ones you loved."
"What are you talking about Regulus? Please, I dont understand. I love you, not him, please believe me."
"I do believe you but I believe he also took advantage of my wife so he needs to pay."
"Wh-"
"You said he is just a childhood friend, you must love him do you not? He took advantage of that love to make you betray me."
"No, he didn't I swear. He-"
"Do not defend him!"
The reception was void of you and your now husband, people made jokes that he couldnt wait to get you in bed.
His own family had disappeared later that night before the others but so did Tom.
Black Manor
Your husband had you forced to sit on the sofa in the family room. Your eyes shifted from his pacing form to the door, you should have taken your father up on that offer. Regulus was scaring you, you're afraid he would kill you if you said the wrong thing.
His mother and father appeared in the door alongside his cousin Bellatrix holding a beaten up Tom.
Your eyes widened at the state he was in, shooting up to run over to him but Regulus held you back.
"Don't you even dare, he will pay for trying to take you away. Filthy muggle."
"Please, what is going on?" His eyes locked onto yours as your husband held you back. He tried to get up to help you making his family cast a Crucio spell on the poor man.
He screamed in pain as his body withered on the ground. Regulus took his turn as his mother and cousin held you back now.
Multiple uses of this curse made you sob for your old friend. Even more when his screams got louder when Regulus started writing Muggle into his skin.
"Please!" You cried out for Regulus to stop making his attention go to you.
"You want to take the anger I feel?"
You nodded your head, anything to stop hearing them torture your friend.
"How courageous of you."
This time the spells hit you as you laid almost side by side with Tom who reached for you despite the pain he was going through.
Regulus kicked his hand away and picked you up like he did after your wedding only this time you couldn't move. The pain was unbearable, Tom stayed screaming though.
The screams lasted all night long until you heard Bellatrix laugh in a scary way. "He's finally dead! He's dead! Haha"
Oh god.
Your eyes remained opened glued to the ceiling as Regulus was beside you asleep as if this was nothing to him. Killing an innocent person was nothing to him. You felt sick to your stomach, you tried to stand up but the pain was still there from the hours of torture he put you through. He only stopped the bleeding not the pain, he said you deserved it for letting another man touch you.
His eyes opened immediately when he felt you move anyways. "What do you need, love?"
You began to sob at the gentleness he gave you. What a monster. He sat up from his laying position, wiping away your tears.
"I want to go home."
"This is your home, we're married now. Did you already forget?" He was playing it off like it was a joke but you knew he meant it. This was your home now, these evil people were now your in laws.
The red signs have always been there but you were too clouded by thoughts of love. You really did betray yourself, your body has always been warning you the moment you walked down the stairs on your birthday. He rubbed circles into your back as your sobs were endless.
"I love you."
"...I love you too." Too scared to not respond, he might grab another person you loved to do the same thing they had done with Tom.
