Søl Søp solo act tonight for one quick one at Pete’s Candy Store, a prelude to our full band gig coming up Tuesday Jan 28th 2020! Our second gig ever as a full band.
Hey you guys, I made this album
La Sopa Del Sol by Garrett Haran
This is a selection of the handful of songs that sounded ok enough to me at the end of a seven hour recording session at Savage Sounds out in West Hempstead, Long Island, NY back in November of 2015. I was 25 at the time, and a handful of theses songs were already 5 or six or maybe 7 years old, but it was the first time I was able to get it together for long enough to go get some songs into the proverbial can. It took me another two years to put it out after that, and again it was one day when I had just the perfect amount of time to think about doing it, and then put off doing it, and then get started doing it, and then procrastinate a bit more, and then to finally finish uploading all of these raw songs to the internet.
Now its been a few months, and I’m in the studio again recording some more old songs, and doing it in a way where I’m as happy as possible with the quality of the tracks.
But anyway, I hope you’ll like them, tell yr friends, and gimme some feedback.
*Soul Soap, by Garrett Haran is probably for fans of Bright Eyes, Brand New, AJJ, Pavement, maybe Titus Andronicus and other antifolk, punk, and emo, or folk artists who thrash on acoustic guitars and do more yelling than singing...
