The   question   had   caught   Pers   off   guard.   Emerald   eyes   widening   for   a   brief   instant,   wondering   if   she   had   insulted   him   by   not   addressing   the   king   of   the   underworld   himself   in   proper   manner,   her   astonishment   quickly   dissolved   into   a   less   stuck   expression.   There   was   a   certain   gentleness   to   those   words,   quite   hesitant   when   thrown   their   way…   naive   or   not,   the   goddess   knew   of   expectations   pretty   well     ―    though   she’d   argue   with   herself   before   concluding   Hades   would   ever   anticipate   something   coming   from   her.

[ starter call. ] [ @soulswhim / punch up. ] vandlabs is easy to access. between his hackers and his brutes, they gain access swiftly. red ring pour in, occupying the research lab as they hunt for the serum vanderstenk's researchers had been working on. shroud is there, overseeing the success of this mission. he's unsurprised when sdn heroes show up, with their fists raised. the red ring leader comes face to face with the one known as punch up. alarms blare, yet still he doesn't raise his voice.

          " they sent you to try and stop me? the dick puncher? " amusement taints his tone. with the serum, he'll have control over the whole city, even its political environment. tongue sweeps across concealed lips as he tilts his head. " i've heard a lot about you. " he'd been hoping for blonde blazer herself, or at least someone who could match his ferocity. eyes narrow. " is dick punching your only superpower? "

[ ... ] AUGH ! ❜ do you know that twitch in your forehead ; that quick pang in the pit of your gut that is just screaming at you like a fire alarm going off , just constantly blaring out : JUST STAY HOME TODAY. TAKE THE DAY OFF. and there's that teensy tiny part of you that wants to listen to it because , OBVIOUSLY , its right duh. its always right. BUT NO. no no no no no no. you just HAVE to ignore it because what if this time i'm just overreacting. ❛ first i get friggin' tied up by POSSIBLE and RAT - BOY and now here i am getting the encore that I NEVER ASKED FOR , MIND YOU. ❜

frustration starts to bubble over in the form of shego squirming around a bit in a failed attempt at getting free* ( * again , mind you. ) though the fight doesn't last as long as one would think. groan escaping from deep within before she'd throw a blank stare in no apparent direction ; blowing a bit of hair out of her face and following up with one good , EXAGGERATED , sigh. ❛ Y'KNOW ! its starting to feel REAL personal over here. twice. TWICE i get tied up in one week alone. i am getting too old for this. i want a raise and a vacation on an island where some greased up POOL BOY serves me drinks until i black out ! ----- consider yourself UNINVITED from drakken's christmas party , by the way. ❜

TOO LATE FOR THAT SENTIMENT* ( *though she'll refuse to admit that much out loud. ) instead letting lids shut as her head shakes in the slightest. doing everything in her power to AVOID having to look at him. because it just had to be HIM. its ALWAYS him. an incessant thorn in her side one day ; a reminder of everything she could have had. everything she's LOST the very next day. ❛ --------- wasn't plannin` on it. brat ---- ❜ there's hesitation in her next step as she glances over a shoulder with those sullen eyes and that exhaustion in her tone. a fit of silence following suit. UNUSUALLY SILENT FOR HER before she'd inhale and let that crown shake once more.

BREATHY SNORT ; SHARP INHALE : spitting off a bit of blood to the side. ( *YOU KNOW. everything was ... simpler ? no no .... EASIER before people started rolling on back into my life. and now the train's left the friggin' station and i'm pretty sure we've gone off rails again. ) ❛ YOU ... quit chasin' after me then. powder's dead , get it ? got it ? good. sooner you get that through your head , the better.
