Sound experimentation (LO2)
For the sound, I aimed to blend two noises: an alarm sound and the noise earwigs make when they're running. This represents the idea of someone trying to escape a crime scene.

This is another voice I found on freesounds, this time a female speaking French. It is interesting how this differs from the British male speaking voice in the sense that if you don’t speak french, this sounds like sounds jumbled together whereas you can subconsciously piece together sentences from the English version. This really makes me consider what language is, as to those who don’t speak English, the words we speak also appear as sounds in the minds of the listener.
This is a male voice that I found on freesounds.org. I used the razor tool on Premiere to cut the audio into different segments and rearrange them to make a new sentence. I really like how we are still able to understand the theme of the poem being spoken whilst it creates a new meaning for it by purely switching around some phrases. I am interested in using different voices to create sentences which I have started to explore with this piece.
