Hello Internet. It's September, which means our vacation is over and we have returned to you. What's new in the Broken Artsverse? The New Broken Arts Two weeks ago BA members Defne and Ashley left the group in order to pursue post-secondary educations in other cities. Our response was to hold a membership drive to replace them. That has since concluded with three new members chosen to join Harley, Erin, and Cassy. The new members will be revealed at our next event on September 14 or when we hit 400 fans on Facebook. Soundtracked 36: Radioactive Our next event is a special Soundtracked show cohosted by Watershed Hour following Laura's victory in our We Were Here photo hunt back in May. The theme is superheroes (costumes encouraged!) and will also feature performances from The In-Class and Squid Man Stan. Our old friends at the Durham Comics Guild will be vending. September 14, Mad Cafe, 8 p.m., pay what you can. et cetera As you might expect, being that we have a new six-person team, we have a lot of other things planned for you including the fifth issue of our zine Now Or Never, Halloween costumes, and the launch party for our compilation Half-Built Horizons. More on all that later.
