just finished smallville btw and i have one Thought about it: smallville!clark will never truly be superman. the further i got the clearer it became that he never wanted this. he's gonna do it for maybe another decade (and that's pushing it) but that guy, the picosecond he can be sure the world isn't gonna implode without him, is 100% ditching his powers and the whole superhero thing and settling down with lois and having a Normal Life.

The vibe i got from the Rise of P ending was that P didn't want to become Carlo in the way of over the course of his journey, he pretty much developed his own soul with loose connections to Carlo, and at the end, when Geppetto offered to essentially replace him with Carlo, he rejected the identity of Carlo and ultimately decided to fight to become his own person. Or maybe I'm just projecting my own OC lore onto this whole thing. Is he a P or is he a Carlo? Who knows. Maybe it's up for interpretation?
