Eerie, dark, quiet.
Standing still in the darkness, part of the quiet space that was mearly a capsule. Staring down an isle of desks to a ghost light, with age the light flickered at random, showing glimpses of the area at hand.
A sterile workshop.
Silence was the only music sung in this foreboading workshop, displays with hanging wires and dark humanoid shapes that stood like statues in the corners of the dark, revealed by a sickly highlight on their metallic forms by the ghost light.
The thing that captures attention the most is the glass at the forefront of it all, a large dark shape looming in the corner with wires hanging sickly and sparking, power was running in that containment unit.
Moving closer, slowly with caution.
Their body shook attempting to speak, seeing the shape behind the glass so frightening yet so... Familiar.
"... Moon...?"
Nothing but the echos of a soft, anxious voice bouncing off the cold, unforgiving walls. Striking back into the humans chest and settling into anxiety.
Each step closer made the heart sink more.
"Is that you...?"
Each breath felt like the last.
"Moon...?"
Grotesque metallic clicking rung out like some sort of gun, sending the human's heart to their throat; the robotic being was craning its neck and adjusting their faceplate, revealing their rotted form, colorful shelling splintered and missing, new foreign wires slink out of their robotic openings and connect them to whatever ghastly system was running above.
Their celestial expression destroyed, dirty, and revealing their true face. A knife of cherry red sliced through the darkness, two red spotlights shining down on the human with a hot glow- burning the skin.
They towered the containment unit, almost reaching the ceiling if not for them hunching their posture. Like staring at a caged animal, not knowing at all what they could do- if you were just a shape to them with the label 'INTRUDER'. All the human could do themselves was appear small.
Shaking in place theres no where to go but foreward, taking one, brave step.
"Hello Moon..."
Like a rabbit approaching a wolf, a stillness was felt for a moment, almost peaceful, if not for the foreboading undertone of uncertainty and fear.
Clicking forward, a mechanical hand began to venture from the dark corner slowly reaching out towards the glass, almost beckoning, the dim lighting revealing more of the torn apart casing, leaving only a skeletal hand made of metal and filled with pulled wires. Lungs become ragged at the gesture. Panic stirs in the heart as the large, metal hand grew closer, almost like it was pointing if not for its advancement.
The glass felt invisible as they grew nearer, the heart jolting with electricity and pure fear swallowing ones being, all consuming and uncontrolled.
And just like that.
Conciousness plucked and placed.
Hazily coming back to reality, lifting from the hard bed to see the blurred lettering of the television.
