Explore parks or wilderness near you!

Make a terrarium with a container and any dirt/plants you have near you

Learn bushcraft skills (Plenty don't require any physical interaction, like identifying plants)

Watch trailcam footage on YouTube!

Collect things you find outdoors! (Be careful with any sort of organic material- it could be hazardous or decompose over time)

Learn about local wildlife (both animals and plants) and any particular areas they might be found

Listen to wilderness ambiance (There's plenty of variety in biome ambiance out there :))

Watch hiking/wilderness survival videos or read journals/blogs along those lines

Try to integrate natural colours into outfits or home decoration! You can change this one up based on any given biome, like green for forests or field landscapes, grey/white for mountain and snowy landscapes, or paler yellow and green for desert or savanna landscapes :)

^ Read headstones! If you can, find out more information about the individual people buried there

Read obituaries! You might find these in local newspapers (digital or physical) or archived newspapers from anywhere. Plenty of mortuaries and archives also keep obituaries publicly available online

Take note of named monuments and dedications around you (even your average park bench might have one) - many are of people who have died

If you have any connection to your (or your body's) family, look into ancestry

Research historical causes of deaths and trends across time and different civilizations

Learn about different funeral/burial traditions of different cultures

Look into bone collecting! Do your research and watch out for disease- if you have the means to do so safely, you could start your own collection :)

Learn about the work of professionals in deathcare! Plenty of these will also have 'day in the life' or similar videos available on youtube

If you live anywhere near a body of water, take a trip there! If you're looking to watch for boats, larger bodies of water (mostly oceans and larger ponds/lakes) near populated areas are most likely to have boats out there

Learn knots and their uses! Even if you haven't got any rope, plenty can be tied with string, thread, or even hoodie strings

Play sailing games and simulators (If you have trouble finding games, you can expand your search to pirate games which tend to have similar features)

Find & learn sea shanties :)

Track ships online! There are free sites out there like MarineTraffic that will show you ships currently at sea and give you their details

Learn elements of maritime navigation (Many can also be practiced on land!!)

Listen to ocean or seaside ambient noise!

Learn maritime flags and communication

Watch sailing videos- you'll find plenty of tutorials or tours of ships, plus some longer videos from a fixed perspective on sailing ships

Learn to identify different types and models of ships and their parts (if you had a particular ship, find out what type of ship it's most similar to in this world)

Use digital tools to selectively view older parts of the internet! The Wayback Machine will let you see older versions of (some) websites, or you can amend a google search with the phrase before:2015 (or any year) to only get results from before a certain time

Find charts for the most popular movies/music from each year to watch & listen to

Find digital copies of magazines from your time!

Use online emulators to emulate consoles you don't already have!

Make mood boards on tumblr or pinterest

Change the icons on your phone (or make shortcuts) to older icons for the same apps

Hey, this is a really cool idea! Do you have any suggestions for someone who was a time traveler? Vyxen job was to watch timelines and call in people to fix any discrepancies, but we... can't do that. We're already planning to get vyx a watch, but do you know of anything else?

(Some case specific and some generally applicable to any time travelers :))

Research historical eras! If you have the opportunity, visiting a museum or historical sites near you (there are more than you might realize!) can be a more engaging way to do this :)

Specifically, research the timelines of certain technology, architecture, art etc.

Watch/Read historical stories and keep an eye out for anything out of place! (researching timelines like above can be especially helpful here :))

Immerse yourself in a certain era for a bit! Pick an era to research, then spend some time reading/watching things from or about that era and listening to music from that era.

^ If you have the means, this could include making food, putting up decorations, or even wearing clothes from that era! If you're more restricted, you could approximate with DIY or just make something like a pinterest board

If you have ties to any sort of future, read/watch sci-fi! Even if it's not like your future, you can compare & contrast :)

Watch/read alternate timeline stories!

Learn a craft (or an approximation) from another era!

^ HTML is also fairly easy and useful for websites :)

Learn about the history of computers & the internet!

Personalize your digital spaces with themes and coding like Betterdiscord or visual browser extensions :)

Create a Neocities (you can use templates for this, you don't need to write your own code)

If you do art, you can make custom icons for apps on your phone :)

Organize your computer! If you want (depending on your OS), you can also give your folders custom icons :)

unfortunately singing lessons are off the table for us - at least for now, tho it is smth on our bucket list

(We have a lot of alters in the same boat and haven't had voice lessons since high school- some of these are things that work for us :))

Find singing tutorials on youtube! They may not be as advanced or personalized as solo lessons, but they're not a bad substitute

Find songs that are already easy for you to sing! Sometimes learning can be frustrating- it's nice to have a few songs to fall back on when you just want to feel good about your voice

Listen to music that reminds you of your source or sounds like your voice

Hold objects like a microphone (or get an actual microphone) when you sing!

Do karaoke! The point of karaoke is not to sound perfect, but just to have fun singing :)

See if there are any events or organizations like karaoke nights or choirs near you that you could join (or at least check out)

Learn an instrument! This one can be a bit more expensive, but it's helpful if you feel limited by or dysphoric about your voice. Two weeks back we bought a solid quality harmonica at a store for just $6 :)

Write your own songs! It's a bit of a learned skill, but if it works for you, it can be really fun

(A bit self indulgent- most of these are things I personally do :))

Collect maps (digital or physical) of Earth or fictional worlds

Find maps of your own world if they exist!

Draw/make maps of your source world (or areas within it) - you can draw on a piece of paper or use online digital tools :)

Make up your own maps from imagination

Explore the area you live in

Learn about geography and how land & sea forms

Map out the area you live :)

Play an open world game with a mini-map

Play Minecraft and put maps together with item frames

Go for a walk and track your journey!

Oddly specific, but I use an app called MysteryHike that keeps track of where you've walked and fills in the map as you get to new places
