rewatched the residence and i want a fun little fanfic of the main suspects (minus you-know-who) waking up the morning of the dinner after cupp's speech about wynter and deciding to make wynter's job as easy as possible while also working to get you-know-who fired asap. wynter spends the entire time wondering if he's dreaming, if someone drugged him, if someone drugged everyone else, or if there is something even more nefarious afoot. the second he doesn't get more than a grit-teeth acceptance of the rule "no fire.", he gets increasingly more and more anxious.

an enchantment of ravens is a fine book that i am about halfway though. i have one thing that i think would make it a lot funnier. what if the protagonist was in her 50s or something and had more "i have spent DECADES figuring out how to mix this exact shade of green, i am not giving up the time, tears, blood, joints, etc. that i put into my Craft!". a prodigal young artist hits different than a master after years of practice. plus, then she could have a fun cougar thing with whatshisface.

i feel like there's something to her needing more breaks because she's getting older and some fae getting more protective of her because what if something happens and she can't paint another portrait of me?!?!? she also uses it as an excuse to bully whatshisname in different ways.
