Same copperhead in 2 different settings...first, crawling out onto the road as we found him. He is quite easy to see...2nd, after we moved him across the road. These guys simply disappear into the leaf litter...love me some coppers!

Found a southern copperhead in the road the other day, my slr camera couldn't fully capture the beauty of this fine specimen due to its length so I tried using the panoramic function on my phone. I think it worked out well, luckily it was early morning so the snake was cold and posed perfectly for me. Photo by Micah Walker

Look at this handsome male Southern Copperhead! He's a wonderfully laid back specimen when it comes to cleaning his tank. He was very curious while I snapped some photos of him cruising around on the concrete floor.
