--------------------------------------------------- This blog is a southpark blog based around my oc Jeremy Heere! He is joined with a group of his friends for a social experiment for school! At the end of summer they will be graded on how well they did! This experiment will test how well they can handle social situations and they will be given the chance to teach the children new experiences and skills! There are 2 other camps run by more of their classmates/rivals! Help Jeremy and his friends get a good grade :)

How long did it take your babs to become tame?

They were both hand raised so they were always hand tame, in terms of comfort Zeeby was pretty comfortable right off the bat since I was the one rearing her right from the start, she already knew me and was comfortable with me it was just a matter of getting familiar with the environment so she only took a few days to a week to be good with the environment.  Mia on the other hand has a whole other backstory, she was tame but pretty skittish and uninterested in human contact so it took her a few months to really calm down and it’s only in the more recent year that she’s really been looking forwards to people and interacting with them.

Hey! I just got a ph flight cage for my three budgies. Needless to say it's huge af and comes with really thick perches, and my babs are having trouble gripping with their mini budgie feet. I don't have any other perches that reach across the length of the cage, but there are some thinner ones with a tiny bit of room. What would you recommend doing? Don't want them to fall and get hurt :(

Natural branch perches (which should be provided anyways since they’re much better for bird feet!) connect to only one side of a cage, come in a variety of sizes, fit better in cages, can be cheaply made yourself or purchased usually at local pet stores or online would work perfectly. Until you’re able to get some you can wrap the perches in vet wrap or very tightly wound string to provide some grip, if you have thinner perches on hand you can use them across corners of the cage so there’s less distance to travel.  Either way do get them some good natural branch perches, they need them to maintain good healthy birb feetsies!
