I'm reading a translated novel version of the Remarried Empress and I can't stop picturing Tamzin merchant's role as Catherine Howard as Rashta. Am I alone with that thought?

Especially since in the show's version, Henry let Catherine do anything she liked, just like Soveishu let Rashta do whatever.

Have y'all ever read The Remarried Empress? If you have I think you relate to the annoyance and sheer frustration I feel whenever I see shitty or abusive characters shitting on the protagonist for like 50 chaps. (And even if you haven't, I recommend you do its a good story.)

Then you see they have stans for shit reasons ! Or even the crack ship, Soveishu x Navier. What did my queen do to deserve that ?

So when I enter other fandoms and I see them doing the same shit. Am like why????? Isn't it clear that these people aren't good or morally correct why you saying they are? Why make the crack ships?

Like for example, peeps be stanning YZY for defending and loving L.P with all her heart and really loving Wei Wuxian beneath the whippings, her abuse and her shitting on his parent.

Girl legit came into Wei Wuxian's sick room to start talking about her marriage issues, Jiang Fengmian's "favour" of Wei Wuxian and shit on an orphan's dead mom.

And people are legit like GATEKEEP, GASLIGHT, GIRL BOSS. KYAAAA STEP ON ME.

I’ve been reading the remarried empress and I need to run about Rashtra. I do feel bad for her and I’m trying so hard to like her but she’s pushing my patients every chapter. And I need to get this off my chest. 

This is pretty much the emperor’s fault (like everything else in the story) but WHY HAS NO ONE TAUGHT HER BASIC SHIT. If the emperor wants her to hang around with him and hang out with royals, why has he naught give her a tutor to tell her why her kid is not a prince/princess, how to interact with the empress, or HOW TO READ! Maybe the emperor has a thing for girls who don’t know anything and need his help, but she is publicly embarrassing herself and everyone around her when she does. Like in chapter 45 when she calls her kid royalty in front of everybody. When she accused Navier of copying her dress (even though she wears read every other day) Or when she first meets the empress and she runs up to her,(commoner or not I think it’s pretty obvious to assume that you shouldn’t run up to royalty for a hug like you're their family)

I like her in concept, she’s a runaway slave that was able to climb up the ranks and find a place for herself there, a true rags to riches story, but she’s making basic mistakes and stepping out of line every other chapter. 

I’d be happy to hear other people defend and I’m open to changing my mind, but right now all I can say about her is that she needs to check herself.

So I know it's a bit late on the series to do a chapter by chapter analysis but let's start with today's.

So first off-This is such typical Soveishu nonsense. Once again we're treated to having his inability to conduct a simple conversation cause easily resolved problems. Imagine if he just told Navier about it. At any point during these years. Or if he'd told his mother. Maybe she'd have been able to counteract it. But instead he'd rather pretend he didn't make a mistake than fix it. He doesn't even tell the frickin priest.

Second thing- I know I just complained about Soveishu a lot but he and Navier as kids are adorable. I just want to squeeze them!

No. 3- There was no Rashta in this episode and that was sad.

Number four- Navier seems to not know how badly Kosair hurt Lotteshu? When the priest brings up the accusations she says none of them are true but Kosair did torture the guy. (Not that my sympathies lie with Lotteshu ofc)

And of course- Lady Artina is here! She hasn't done very much as of yet but she's here and I'm very happy about it.
