(WIP) TD x Star Trek🚀🖖: Captain’s Chair - Captain Gwen (USS Wawanakwa) - Flats

“CAPTAIN ON DECK!”

You thought I was only gonna do edits for this crossover AU? I did say I was gonna give at least the characters I chose to be Captains their own unique artwork.😁

And Gwen is the first of these Captains!

I’ll detail the story a bit further on the finalized artwork but basically:

After winning this AU’s version of TDI, Starfleet Command grants her captaincy of her own ship: A Sovereign-class Starship registered as USS Wawanakwa. Her ship mates and some of her senior officers? The rest of the contestants!

And her first officer/number one? Commander Courtney!

She leads the Wawanakwa towards the quadrants and new worlds vehemently and with desire to explore the unknown, following Starfleet’s mission to boldly go where no one has gone before.

She’s still has a long way to go before the artwork is finished, but I wanted to share my progress with all of you!

Her uniform is inspired by the one seen on Star Trek: Lower Decks, albeit with a darker tone. She has four pips on her neck to indicate captaincy and her chair’s design is partly-inspired by Jean-Luc Picard’s chair from Star Trek: The Next Generation! I wanted her expression to be soft but still something that you can see Gwen doing.

There’s two images. One with her normal artwork, and one comparing it to my edit.

FYI, The background is not final! It’s also in progress! It will look much better in the final render!

I was doing an art project with a friend this afternoon where we had to design something in a stained glass style. This is what I did, and I think it came out pretty well!
