Architect or gardener?

I would say I’m more an architect than a gardener, since I do tend to spend a lot of time planning things out, but I occasionally approach certain stories with a gardener-mindset. 

What have you learned from reading fanfic?

I’ve answered this one in a previous post :D It basically boils down to: take risks with your writing.
