Im Rahmen des Rundgangs der Kunsthochschule Kassel veranstaltete die Klasse für Illustration und Comic heuer das 1. Aueblick Zinefest. Neben Studierenden waren Künstler aus ganz Europa geladen um Zines, Comics und verschiedene Printmedien auszustellen. Aus Österreich reisten Vinz Schwarzbauer (Franz the lonely Austrionaut), Andreas Haslauer (Epileptic Media) und Nina Buchner (???WHAT AM I???) an. Für ungarische Schmankerl sorgte Soma Sebesvári.
Das umfangreiche Programm beinhaltete neben Konzerten auch Lesungen und Vorträge. Unter anderem beeindruckte Robin Vehrs (ROSA WESTE UND BIER) mit seiner Schilderung über die mit Jakub Vrba abgehaltene Cartooning Summer School Karlsbad, Prädikat: absurd aber wahr.

During open house at Kunsthochschule Kassel, the illustration and comics class hosted the very first Aueblick Zinefest. Students and artists from all over europe were iniveted to show their zines, comics and prints. The Austrian brigade consisted of Vinz Schwarzbauer (Franz the lonely Austrionaut), Andreas Haslauer (Epileptic Media) und Nina Buchner (???WHAT AM I???), while Soma Sebesvári was there to serve some Hungarian treats.
Program included concerts as well as readings and lectures. Robin Verhrs talked about his experiences after hosting Cartooning Summer School Karlsbad together with Jakub Vrba: absurd but true
We would like to thank Nicolas Dostal for the invitation and look forward to seeing everybody again sometime!
Flat Gold is a 40-page photo/graphic risoprinted zine about my one month spent in Vienna as artist in residence. It is printed only in black and flat gold and is my personal interpretation of the city.
