8 years on and this scene still lives in my head rent fucking free. (also EIGHT YEARS?????????????? HELLO HAS IT REALLY BEEN THAT LONG SINCE RESURRECTION. was i really TEN years old reading this shit. it's breaking my brain i can't.)
but also THIS SCENE!!!!! pls tell me if i'm crazy but there's like..... a lot of tension here right.....? why doesn't val say anything? why is she just standing in the doorway watching him putting his clothes on? did skulduggery know she was there? like it's very confusing to me and i'm not sure what it's implying other than yk tension. this seems to be a vulnerable moment for skulduggery as well. could also be just a reflective introspective moment for val, thinking about what they've been through together. but idk.
(also why aren't there any fics of this scene. imo it is up there next to the mr and mrs jones scene)
