You know, if it weren't for the World Cup I probably could've done this arc last week. That probably would've been preferable, in fact.

I was originally gonna have Pip getting his bike stolen by Francis, but decided that leading into the week-long strip of reporting would be a better idea. Oh yeah, all this week is gonna be a report of the new T&P film. Sorry, was running short of ideas again.
Let's Burn Together: The Second Week of Strips
No. 6 (08-06-26): Aside from this being Alex's debut, I withheld the publication of this strip because I thought it downplayed the nitrate issue over in the Midwest by making Muffy the one to talk about it. Still though, I'm not editing it.
No. 7 (09-06-26): Ah yes, what an occasion to draw the first cinema strip. I originally had the box office guy falling for Alex's lie and letting them all in to see it. But that would've been too easy. Not to mention I didn't think it was as funny as what I ended up drawing for the ending. Transcript because it's hard to see Alex's speech: p.1 ALEX: Could we get four tickets to see Scary Movie 6, please? p.2 Box Office Guy: Where's your adult? ALEX: I am the adult! MUFFY: (starts fidgeting) Oh jeez... p.4 ALEX: So can we come in now? Box Office Guy: No. I did end up going to Scary Movie 6 that night and ended up not liking it.
No. 8 (10-06-26): I realised that I needed to introduce Curly and C-Cap into the strip at some point. So I just plopped them into a baseball game in which they lost. This is also my first attempt at a smear shot. Also did a non-branded version of ESPN's scorebug from the early 2000s because I like that one. There is still work to be done for authenticity purposes though. Fun fact: Terrance and Phillip keep making movies, and ever since the Asses of Fire debacle back in 1999, none of them show up in their biggest market.
No. 9 (11-06-26): I saw an Amazon driver operating out of his Prius the week I made this strip, and I thought that was pretty neat. I was originally gonna have the courier here suffer a heart attack and plead for help, but that, along with a 4-panel script for the hospital in the next strip that went nowhere, was scrapped for being too depressing.
No. 10 (12-06-26): This was another filler strip I made without a clear direction. It also, in hindsight, was the first indication of the Slanty x Douglas thing that also keeps showing up in my mind. Yes, I sometimes draw Slanty in as close to the artstyles of different shows as I can manage.
Weekend Comic No. 2 (14-06-26): In which Douglas, and reluctantly Slanty, execute their plan to intercept the LEGO heist. That immediately goes sideways when they get caught by the manager of the store, Tzagni. It was nice to adapt everyone into a darker colour palette.
Let's Burn Together: The First Weekend Strip
(Originally published on 07-06-26): The whole LEGO heist thing was on YouTube's algo for weeks, and finally with the onset of this strip I sought to be like everyone else and comment on the stuff that stopped being relevant long before I thought to do so. The weekend strips are semi-serialised, so this story as you recall will carry on over the ensuing month-plus, until I either get tired of it, something else comes up that demands my attention, or the story ends naturally. This post also serves as your warning that tomorrow's weekend strip will be primarily about the original characters that I have made the villains of the strip. Slanty and Douglas' antics will be delayed until at least next weekend.
