Bars, as Ezra had learned through programming and copious television, served as the ultimate ground zero for human interaction. She came to them often and did the bulk of her people watching there. She even had a bit for getting people to talk to her: free alcohol. “My friend abandoned me for some guy who smells like swamp water. Want her drink? Hate for it to go to waste.” Offering drinks to strangers also had an air of this might be drugged, but Ezra found commenting on that made things even more awkward.
