Introducing Spac3man:
From his start with Sportn’ Life Records, Spac3man was known for hyping his label mates on stage and delivering a hot sixteen bars on their records. In mid 2008 all of that changed as Spac3man became the labels breakout artist. He swiftly plunged on the scene doing a hefty 40 shows in 12 months. Local media, fans and his colleagues were all quick to call him the next “big thing”. Spac3man’s verse on Big Homie Style off of Jake One’s White Van Music set him apart from other locals on the album. His energy is magnetic and his stage show is outstanding. In 2009 Spac3man was invited to play some of the regions most esteemed music festivals like Bumbershoot, The Capitol Hill Block Party and Reverbfest. He has shared the stage with Redman & Method Man, 88 Keys, Devin the Dude, Pac Div and One B-Lo to name a few... Known primarily for club anthems & aggressive but boastful attacks like “Fly den a Muf*ka” and ”L's Up!".

G-SHOCK is the ultimate tough watch. It was born from a developer's dream of "creating a watch that never breaks." Guided by a "Triple 10" development concept, the design teams sought a watch with 10-meter free-fall endurance, 10-bar water resistance and a 10-year battery life.
Gather trade show is only in town for a couple days displaying the most relevant and finest skateboard and streetwear brands. We'll be greeting the Buyers and reps from all the hottest brands and local stores in Seattle at Barboza.

Capitol Hill Block Post-Mortem: Friday
My Block Party madness started off right today by arriving onto the scene just in time to catch Spac3man's gruff yet ebullient flow heating up the Vera Stage.
Space is a gifted rapper, busting inventive rhymes whose deadlines are always punchlines. The hypeman turned rapper's confidence isn't just braggarts swagger, either. He literally stopped DJ El Grande mid spin to admonish the crowd for not going in at an acceptable level to him. Like a loving uncle chastising a child, Space seems to know the worth of his work, and wasn't gonna let his 6 o'clock set time keep the kids from "gettin it in".
While cutting the groove is generally bad form, he probably did the rest of the block party a favor by getting the crowd dialed into his patented "airplane mode", ensuring they maintained proper concert-going elevation for the rest of the evening.
At the end of his set we walked around the block and made our way down into the depths of the Cha Cha lounge. The Baja psychedelic cave complete with disco ball and a bottle wall was a cool, dark, recess, from the humid outer world; and despite some menacing red lighting the crowd was jovial, buzzing, and ready for some electro-experimentation courtesy of Vox Mod.
I made the mistake of sitting down, and by the time the first arpeggiated electronic beats were slicing the air and vibrating my loins, I was trapped. I sat up on the back of the booth like a heathen to gain some vantage.
Vox Mod is Scot Porter's one man show which sees him beating samples out of his Korg ESX like it's another one of his drum sets. With full body flow he whipped his flaxen hair into a sweaty froth while his fingers deftly found the right combination of twists and snaps to get the knobs and buttons of his music machine whirring into alternate-reality mode. I can no more explain the existence of alternate universes than I can explain the simply beautiful, dense layers, of future electro noise Vox Mod makes, but I can tell you it prevents your body from behaving calmly.
After the conclusion of the trip down the Vox Mod portal of light and sound, I was reborn into the Seattle evening up the same rabbit hole I had crawled down. It was time for some Fly Moon Royalty.
Sportn' Life Records newest premier act was already rockin their electric-soul over at the Vera Stage. Seeing Adra Boo and Action Jackson for the first time live was a long awaited experience for me. Action's rapping skills are improving, and Adra's voice is strong as ever. Their hidden strength is the third, very living member of their band, their wah wah, moog style, soul grooves that beg comparisons to work by Bernie Worrel (Parliament Funkadelic) and Stevie Wonder.
Intense mini dance parties inside the swaying crowd were breaking out everywhere as girls and guys alike would catch the spirit. Fly Moon Royalty rolled quickly and efficiently through songs from their latest EP and even a cover of Sir Mix A Lot's Baby Got Back, whose raps Adra Boo spit as if she wrote herself.
Soon thereafter, on the mainstage Thee Oh Sees broke out into their kraut-rock-garage-psychedelia. Their noise caused a vacuum on Capitol Hill that sucked every living being up by the eyeballs until they were next to the stage, and thought he wind was whipping not a sound outside their glorious cacophony could be heard.
Despite the many highly sought after acts which were to follow, I had to call it an early night, and am back home now, writing to you, wishing I was still there.
